So it has been going on since Monday and I think we deserve some answers after this many days since the pinned thread has not a single update.

Any tracking manually entered or entered through a third party shipping service is only showing Pre-Transit.  I am currently up to over 75 now.

This is effecting star seller status.  Will this be addressed?

Do I have to contact Etsy support and give every single one of the over 75 order numbers to get this fixed or will the fix when it is implemented update all the tracking numbers?

It won't be long until my customers start to contact me asking what is going on with their packages and it's not a good look for my shop, or Etsy

I contacted tech support via Chat today again requesting to correct my stats. I was told that the request to correct my stats was sent (to where?) and it should update within 24 hours.

@CarolinaHats  @LanaLuckyFinds   I have a question re: Chat.  What about Sellers who don't have this feature? 
My Shop is on Vacation so (for now) it isn't a problem.  I had the Chat Icon lower Right in my Shop Dashboard because I've been a Star Seller.  However, the Chat Button is now gone (I don't recall if it disappeared this month or last month).

So what if you don't have the option of the Chat Button?  (even though in my opinion Sellers shouldn't have to take the extra time to go through this due to a glitch that is beyond their control and certainly not their fault).

I received the same response. Gave them the order numbers, too.  Who knows when this will be fixed?

With the star seller stats falling like a rock, I'm afraid, the Chat button will soon disappear from my Dashboard. I'm putting listing/re-listing on hold until everything is resolved. I don't want to pay $2 a day in listing fees to put myself in reserves at some point. Some of my orders were delivered a week ago.

Yes, Etsy please fix the backlog of glitches before moving on to break more!

 

I have now waited the requested 48 hours.  Instead of my CSV being improved and my SS % restored I have more "deficient" orders and a further reduced SS.

@JMOldeVintage   Thank You very much!  I checked Announcements a few times today and it wasn't posted when I looked.  Hopefully there will be a resolution soon.  And I'm glad that Sellers SS Shipping Scores won't be affected (as very well should be the case).

What if the USPS site says "Untrackable" for hours even when you go to the counter to have the package scanned and you have the receipt? USPS should show that the post office is in possession of the item immediately after the scan.  This has happened to me several times lately and so far, has been resolved within 24 hours.  I am currently watching a package still in "Pre-transit that I had scanned this morning to see when USPS will update.  I wonder if there are glitches on both sides - Etsy and USPS.

This happens to me as well. And, like you, I get my packages scanned at the counter. But it generally updates on the USPS site within about 12 hours. I think it has to do with how USPS locations interface and update with the overall USPS tracking site, but that's just a guess.

When USPS' website displays the correct tracking info. can depend on the local post office you use.

My main PO uploads their scans to USPS every 30 minutes or so.
The closer but smaller PO does not upload data to USPS until after they have closed for the day.

Well the fix they are implementing hasn't done anything yet.  All my orders yesterday still show pretransit.  Now my stats are at 87% with 70 orders stuck in pretransit mode.

@PrettyVagrant, yep, same here.  My shipped orders continue to incorrectly show as pre-transit status (all are actually delivered or in transit), and it continues to be 100% of my orders shipped each day, whereas at least a few each day used to be correctly recognized.  I'm now below the 95% threshold for star seller too.  So it's actually getting worse for me, not better.

Well, apparently their engineers did not shove the fix with enough force?

It is discouraging (at best) that the cause of the issue hasn't been tracked down & fixed. 

This is already impacting shop's star seller ratings, a few shops have reported sudden reserves being placed on their account. It wouldn't be surprising if some shops have been placed in 'vacation mode' while they 'catch up on orders'.

The same thing is happening to my orders, but my Star Seller is getting dinged with the "this order doesn't have a tracking number" even though it does, and some people have already received their order despite it saying "pretransit". I use Pirateship with Etsy integration and when I try to manually edit the tracking number to try to kick it through, it says "The tracking number is already in use for this order" and won't let me add it again. Talked to Pirateship, and they checked but say it's an Etsy issue. Etsy is so jacked up lately on multiple fronts.

My 100% SS shipping is reinstated. I can't check if Etsy fix is working as I do not get any orders.

My shipping is still at 86%.  I’ve contacted them by chat twice now and requested call backs, and emailed them all of the proof…still nothing.  Since then, I have been using Etsy shipping and that is working.  Before I was using Pirate Ship.
