This is basically a heads up to other sellers. Yesterday a customer messaged me to say they couldn’t buy an item because there was no drop down menu to select sizes and the add to basket / buy it now button was missing. I am also not able to edit the listing at all. It is very worrying as it is my most popular Christmas item and I could be losing a large amount of revenue. I have created a new listing for the item but this won’t have the same ranking in search, best seller badge or associated customer reviews. I have reported this to Etsy and am awaiting a solution but I just wanted to make other sellers aware of this issue in case they have noticed a downturn in sales on a particular item.
UPDATE I have found a solution!!!!! I edited the listing on the app. I tried to save the listing but it failed because it said the quantity was at 0 so once I upped the quantity the buy/add button appeared again. I guess it should have said sold out so I could renew it but it didn’t it was still showing in active listings! Thank you so much everyone for helping with this! Merry Christmas!
Is this on the buyer app? There are lots of reports of problems with the app. If you can send screenshots of the page showing the missing buttons (or a video) to Etsy Support that would be very helpful.
Then advise your customers to visit the website using a browser instead.
It’s not just on the app, it is on internet browsers as well unfortunately! Etsy have referred the issue to their technical specialist.

What do you mean, I haven’t mentioned the listing in question? I have visited my shop in a private window and the option to buy is still missing on the listing
If it was only 1 listing then it would be helpful to mention which listing it was, I’m not going to look through over 3,000 listings to see if it’s the same for me. Can’t really help if we can’t look at it and see if anyone else has that problem.
Here is the listing. I wasn’t asking other sellers to check my listing. I was just raising the issue in case other sellers had the same problem with theirs. Of course I would never expect another seller to look through 3000 listings.
By looking at the listing we might be able to figure out if it’s missing for everyone or just if you use the app, or a certain browser, or iPhone. Maybe they were using the old app instead of a new one. The more information we have the better the chance is to find the problem.

Hmm, I use Safari and it’s there. I did miss the personalized box to add the name the first time but pink color made it easy to see the problem.
Really, so can you see the drop down menu to choose sizes and the add to basket button too? I have checked on all my devices and my husband has too and we can’t see these
I'm on W10Chrome in Canada and it NOT there on that listing... which also happens to be a best seller. C'mon Etsy! Your personalization window is there though, for all the good that does you.
I'm on a desktop using the Chrome browser and the buy/add to cart buttons and variations are not there. I do see the personalization box. Sorry this is happening to you.
I can't say I've encountered it, but sometimes sales are cut off so suddenly that I think there might be such a problem. I have encountered the problem of editing and saving the list. I wish you good luck and good days.

Same for me, a lot of customers are contacting me saying they are unable to purchase items, unable to add to basket and if they do it will ask them to add personalisation even though this has been added. Please look into this Etsy
It is so frustrating that these issues might affect Christmas sales
This is what happens when Etsy lets the site be run by bots to save money, when a problem occurs they have to get a real human out of his hole.
Am experiencing the same issues in my shop. 90% of my items have variations and I've had a half dozen customers report an issue to me. No idea how many people are just giving up.
I've tested it on a dozen of my listings on the etsy app, while being logged out of my seller account, and I'm experiencing the same problem. I can't put it in basket before selecting a variant (as you'd expect) but the moment I do select a variant, the basket option disappears.
Have also reported it to etsy with a fully description. Disappointed they've made no statement on this but not surprised unfortunately. Surely given it's losing them money as well, they want to solve it asap and notify sellers what they're doing about it.
One seller in another thread mentioned going into edit listing/saving and then the problem appeared resolved, but I've tried doing that via the etsy seller app without luck so far.
I’m so sorry you are having the same issues too. Etsy advised I deactivate and reactivate the listing but this didn’t work. This is all the help I have been given so far by them.

What is special / different about that listing? I've checked some others, and not seeing the same issue.

I know! I haven’t found any other listings with this issue. It’s like it’s just malfunctioned for some reason! Just typical that’s it’s my best selling item at the moment
In your first row of listings I see the item you mention twice (in two separate listings). One listing is functional but the other is not.
