Anyone else notice strange shifts in the platforms behaviour for no apparent reason? Last month I've made pretty consistent sales throughout the month, averaging 2-4 sales per day. This obviously came at a cost as I relied heavily on Etsy ads.
As of October 1st, Etsy has limited my ad spend to 1$/day without any justification. Since then my "views" have gone from 1K-2K/ day to 100-150. It is mentioned in Etsy's seller handbook that the ad budget limit will increase once the current limit is reached. However, every time I come close to reaching my imposed limit of 1$, my views slow down to 1 or 2/hour... I find it difficult to believe that I can't reach 1$ worth of clicks for 3 days in row. Is Etsy throttling shop performances??
Ask Etsy why the reduction in ad budget. It might be an error or it might be not enough of your budget was spent o qualify for more. Could be other reasons.
Etsy always wants me to spend more and I refuse to do so.
IF you are only getting sales through ads then perhaps your tags and titles are not really optimized for being found. Perhaps a shop critique would help.
Hi there, I have just noticed the same thing happen to my shop, which is unusual, as previously Etsy was encouraging us to spend a bit on Ads. It's now limited to $1 per day at a crucial time of the year when it's near the festive season. We normally spend intermittently $10 - $20 per day, so I am quite shocked this has happened and also annoyed. We contacted Etsy support, as we thought it was a technical glitch, but no joy from their team, just the usual spiel of not looking into it and stating it will go up in future. I wondered if you received a response from Etsy support and what was your outcome over this? Thanks
