Just wondering how many other shops are experiencing the same issue as me, by getting locked out of their account?
This all started for me on the 16th June, I received an email to say I had been logged out and to change my password, which I did but a few hours later it locked me out again!
Fast forward to today, I have been locked out over 10x now, sometimes I can regain access for a day sometimes it is only 20 minutes. I was told on Friday that my account was getting caught up by Etsy's automated security screening system, which was taking action on my account in error and that the restriction had been removed from my account but since Friday I've been locked out twice.
Awaiting for a response from Etsy is slow and when I do get a response the majority of the time it is an automated/scripted email, which is fine when it is a one off but this must be a wider issue with their system.
I have cleared browsing history, caches on my PC, enabled two step authentication for my account (as advised by the support team) but nothing is working, it is driving me crazy
Are you using a VPN? If so disable it. That may be the source of the difficulty. If Etsy cannot verify where you are coming from it may be interpreting the attempts as possible hacking. VPNs don't always play well with sites.
I tried a VPN and got rid of it because it drove me nuts disarming me from sites. Use a good anti-virus system or find a VPN that works with Etsy.
Are you suing Safari as the browser? That has caused some issues for users.
That's all I can think of that may be interfering.
Do you use the etsy seller preview app?
Another thread mentions that as a likely cause for their own locked out account problems.
I'm have the same problem that's described above. Unfortunately, its happening on Google and safari browsers, iPhone, iPad and MacBook
The exact same thing is happening to me ! I have to wait for them to respond from the fraud dept but it's only a short term fix. Very discouraged, disappointed and at a loss as to how to correct it completely!
I received an email an hour ago telling me I had to change my password because of suspicious activity.
I went to my etsy page, and I was signed out. I changed my password and thought all was good, but now I just got another email telling me to change my password again.
I came to my account and it says I'm signed out again.
I was able to post this reply, and it shows that I am logged in.
Must be a bug?
Now it shows that I am signed out and wants me to create another password.

Yes I am on my third lock out currently on my main seller account (Resiness) and it started around the 16th as well. I’m at a loss. I don’t use VPN but I will switch to a new browser on my PC tomorrow and I won’t use the apps on my phone for a while and see if that works. 🤷
