This is the 2nd time this has happened, out of about 5 total offer messages I've ever gotten, so I'm sure it's not me, it's an Etsy issue:
I'm in the middle of messaging a buyer back in the offer message (where you accept or respond with another price), and suddenly it says their offer was accepted, and my message disappears. I have to send another actual message explaining that I didn't accept their (lowball!) offer, and why, etc. Very annoying. Happening once, yes possibly but very unlikely an error on my part...happening twice, it's an issue with the messaging/reply screen.
I don't have that feature enabled, but I can't imagine how frustrating this is. Etsy has been just awful with glitches lately, and they all seem to be causing headaches for sellers.
I don't have that feature enabled either ... and after reading your post, I probably never will.
I've never quite understood the feature. Wouldn't it make more sense to just let people know that they can message buyers with requests, like offers? Then leave it in the hands of the buyer and seller?
Especially since, based on what I've read, an accepted offer isn't always followed by a purchase.
I would disable that feature. I think buyers will contact you directly to make offers.
لقد ارسلي المشتري يريد أن يشتري لكن لم ارد على رساله في دالكق الوقت عندما أريد أن أرد عليه تلقيت رسالة مخفيه؟ كيف يمكنني أن أرد عليهThe buyer sent me he wants to buy, but I did not respond to a message at that time. When I wanted to reply to him, I received a hidden message? How can I respond to him?

@Woodthuya1999: Are you getting an error message something like "The username you have entered is not a valid Etsy user"? This almost always means that the account has been closed (either by the person or by Etsy). Just in case, try to mark the message as SPAM.
If not, what error message are you getting?
Once I was in the process of countering an offer and while changing the acceptable price it suddenly send the message & price was accepted. Customer purchased immediately, so it was too late for me to do anything about it. I was upset since I didn't want it to go as low as that offer. I was on my iPhone when it happened, so from now on I am only changing price on desktop because it never happens then.
HI! I'm the original poster, and this just happened AGAIN. On my desktop! So it's an Etsy bug all around, not anything to do with phones/vs desktop. I'm taking the offer feature off my listings now, as someone just did this to me again and immediately purchased, even after me saying their offer was too low. Jeez.
I have an issue not sure if the same thing where a customer makes an offer, and i accept it on my end but it leaves the price the same as it was originally priced? Ive tried to remove coupons thinking it was that, im listing digital files but to what i know it should effect. I have also done this and made a test run using my personal non business account and accept the offer in my business account and when going to check out, i still run into the same issue... can anyone help or suggest anything?
This has happened to me several times, Etsy needs to fix this!
Yikes. That's not good. I use Make an Offer -- I think it's a very good option for vintage -- but I've never had that happen.
I did find out today though that the Make an Offer button isn't visible on the app! I only use my desktop for Etsy, so I didn't know that. A buyer told me. And then I investigated further. So approximately half of all Etsy shoppers are not even seeing it. Etsy, why the heck not? (Like anyone from Etsy is going to see this or do anything about it lol.)
