We’re experiencing intermittent issues with tracking for a UK shipping provider. Because of this, some UK tracking events aren’t currently visible on Etsy’s end.
As you may know, tracking plays a part in programs like Star Seller and Payment account reserves.
Although tracking events aren’t currently shown on Etsy, as long as a valid tracking number is provided, you’ll still be eligible to meet the tracking criteria for Star Seller.
Etsy also uses tracking data to release order funds that are held while your shop has a Payment account reserve. When a shop has a reserve on their Payment account, funds are released when Etsy can confirm that the tracking shows the order in transit. So when tracking data is not sent to Etsy, for UK sellers with a reserve on their Payment accounts, even when they add tracking for their orders, they may not see their sale funds released and disbursed as expected. While we’re working on retrieving this data, we’ve released any reserved funds from potentially impacted orders.
