Interesting thoughts on the New Seller App

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well.

This is just my guess, might just be a coincidence or my personal experience.

I downloaded the new seller app on Friday, and also kept the old version logged in for comparison. (I prefer the old version tbh, everything is more handy). Ever since then, my shop has been dead, my daily average is usually 5-7 orders, but right after I signed in the new app, my shop only received 2 orders for the whole weekend!  At the same time. I also found some glitches of the new app, like different favorite history and daley of reviews.

Anyway, since i don't really like the new app, I deleted it around 5pm today, and boom, my sales went back to normal, got 4 orders in couple of hours.

Is the use of two apps at same time blocking the traffic or sales? Or is it just a coincidence? No idea, but i would never log in the new app until i have to.

Wondering if anyone has the same experience with me?

I have had both apps, the new one for several months.  No change in my shop.  Can't see how apps a user (YOU) chooses can affect sales, but this is Etsy, so who knows?  Glad you got back to normal!

Thank you! I know nothing about tech or data, so i guess i'm just blaming the order drop on Etsy app. >.<

I was part of the test group for the new app so I have had it for months now. I have both apps on my phone and my sales are just fine. It doesn't make sense to me that how you see your etsy shop via which app would affect sales. Some people don't even use their phones/tablets that way.

I like the app. I've seen so many bad reviews of it but it works fine like the website does imo.

The new app is more or less like the old one with some changes, I think you just have to give it time to get used to how it works, it hasn't influenced my sales at all. Good luck.

I don't see how having 1 app, 2 apps or no apps can influence sales. Just IMHO....

If you're not happy use a browser.

I downloaded the new sellers app about a week ago. A couple days after that I realized I haven’t sold anything since I downloaded the new app, so I deleted it. However I still haven’t sold anything. We are not a big store, but I usually sell at least a couple things a week.

I've had both apps for a couple of months but I mostly use the old app out of habit. My sales slowed a little bit this fall but they're picking up again. I don't see a connection between having two apps and my number of sales.

It does seem hard to fathom that Etsy would factor app usage into search placement.

I wouldn't think this is affecting sales. I have had both ( still use the old one because it's way better) and it hasn't changed sales.
