This is really strange. As said, I put up a new listing on 9/13 (less than 2 weeks ago) and just saw that it renewed itself today - with no sale - and a new expiration date of Jan. 25th. Plus it "put itself" on auto renewal, which I never use.
Anybody else seeing this? It may be just 20 cents, but still ...

I have had that happen a couple of times. Each time it was due to an order that failed payment processing. Check in your completed orders and see if there is an order there that says canceled and not paid. Sometimes they fail processing so quickly that they never send the seller sales email or even show up on shop manager. Also check shop payment account in a bit to see if you were refunded a renewal fee. It may not be instant so give it a couple hours at least.

Re: A two-week old listing just renewed itself when there was no sale
Never had that happen. Contact Etsy support and request a refund.

Wanted to reach out first to see if this was a one-off or if others had experienced the same.

Re: A two-week old listing just renewed itself when there was no sale
There was nothing in my order section, but I just noticed a credit came through for the 20 cent listing fee. So, as @WitticismsRus said, it could have been a lightning-fast sale/payment failure.

A great example of why it's not always necessary to run to support as soon as you see any little thing that seems off (especially because they likely wouldn't have had such a sensical response as WitticismsRus, and would have taken much longer to respond anyway).

Re: A two-week old listing just renewed itself when there was no sale
@PWOriginals - nothing has renewed unexpectedly, but this morning I did catch a number of listings switched to auto-renew, which I also never use! Quickly bulk edited to manual, but will be keeping an eye on it!
