I redeemed 100 Free listings to my store via etsy.com/promotions and I have listed 4 listings free via that promotion. But today when I tried to post my next listing the promotion I had redeemed was gone from my account. Is there a way to get that back? I had 96 more free listings and now it's no longer shows on my listing dashboard which is pretty sad
Etsy took away everyone's free listings, because there were people who posted or gave out the code to people who were not entitled to have it. If you got the code legitimately from Etsy and are entitled to the free listings they will message you. If you are not entitled you are tough out of luck
I don't know why there are a few that always have to ruin everything for everyone else.
Hello, everyone!
As you know, discussion and debate about themes relevant to Etsy are welcome and encouraged - they must, however, comply with our Community Policies.
In this spirit, I must kindly remind you to keep all discussions civil, courteous, and on-topic. We will not tolerate any disparaging, or otherwise disrespectful remarks directed toward anyone.
Thank you!
Sounds fishy to me.
What do you mean?
Where did this promo come from?
Check your messages OP. There should be one from Etsy
I have not got any messages
Oh I see now. Never mind. LOL
did you redeem too?
If you were actually entitled to the 100 free listings then you will receive a message from Etsy asking you your shop name/link/email. I did this 30 mins ago and already have the remainder of my 100 listings back.
If you used the promotion without being entitled to it then you will not receive this email and they will not be reinstated.
Message as in an Email?
no, through Etsy messaging
Mine are back now too.
Thanks!
Yes I did, a week ago. A few moments ago I received a message from Etsy about why they're not there anymore.
Yours will probably be on its way to your inbox.
I'll keep posted I escalated an email to Etsy support team Let's see their response.
I got them back so weird !

Giving out the code like putting it in a forum post? Who would do such a thing??
okay I didn't know that, anyway thanks.
@NoFrogsAllowed Ah shucks I missed it . Sorry I'm smirking a bit just because as long as I have been on Etsy I have not gotten anything offered. Must be I'm not a very good shop owner. Or maybe just a very dumb bunny.
This is why I keep all message threads I get on Etsy, in case I need proof - and in this case I have it. I was one who got the e-mail legitimately and I'm disappointed it was abused, but not surprised.
I found it in a fb forum post and figured it was Etsy giving a tiny bit back to sellers for once. How silly of me. There was no indication in the post or link that it wasn't for everyone. If Etsy only wanted certain sellers to have access to the promotion they should have restricted access to it.
As a 10 year site owner what parameters would "entitle" me to said free listings?
you wrote:
"Etsy took away everyone's free listings, because there were people who posted or gave out the code to people who were not entitled to have it"
So you are saying that people, who are not entitled to receive it should get it anyways, and be it via illicit sharing?
Because you continue:
"I don't know why there are a few that always have to ruin everything for everyone else."
Perhaps you meant me with your comment because I shared my experience with Etsy chat?
If yes, then you must have read as well that I was just asking Etsy if and when I will get any as well.
I was just innocently asking, as I would have loved to get them. But I was told I'm not eligible this time. (I was before)
I was offered 20 free listings as a little treat, but I didn't want them.
If it's not my turn, then it's not my turn, so what. I had free listings before.
There's no need to turn it into something nasty, when it was clearly not intended, right?
Honesty is the best, as we can see from Etsy taking the free listings from those who obtained them in a not allowed way.
Which is fair.
The Etsy emails said the link should not be shared and was personal.
However, some shared it on social media and it soon became rampant.
