July/August Goals

So. This is Steph from Crown + Cole, Of Mountaineers, etc. etc. etc.

And I have just opened ANOTHER new shop.
I know what you are thinking.
Seriously? Another?

What can I say? I am a glutton for punishment!
I just realized that the part of my business that I enjoy the most is taking photos - and playing with my friends DSLR was so much more fun than actually making the jewelry itself!

I have a great Canon (not a DSLR, but it does the job for now) and I take photos ALL the time. So I just thought... why not? I'll still make jewelry of course, but why not branch out?

So I opened a photography shop and we'll see where it goes! I am up to 33 listings in just the few days I've been open!

GOAL - 150 by the end of August. It is lofty, I know. Wish me luck!

Kamara, thank you!!! And you have no idea how right you are - taking photos has become my "zen time" - it instantly relaxes me and I absolutely love the editing process, so all around, I have loved it so far! And I am always looking for a photo, which is cool because I notice things now all the time! I totally agree - if you have a passion, you have to go after it. Who knows where it will lead?

Nikki - thanks, I know! I was so surprised! I'm working on ordering cards right this moment, too!

Thank you guys!!! Tanya, you have no idea how right you are - I really enjoy making jewelry, just like I enjoy doing a lot of different crafts. But I'm finding that I am really a lot more passionate about this! I've always loved photography, but for some reason never thought to sell it!

I just posted another - this one I'm really not sure about. Too bright for me, and he was in direct sun, which for me, kind of ruined it. But I love how relaxed he looks! So anyways, I put it up and we'll see!

I was coming across the dragonfly picture and was listening to "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone and the lyrics "dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean" - was kinda trippy! Great pics! Butterflies love you!

these are all just gorgeous. I'm with Adam, I love the VW.
Like you, I can do a whole lot of different crafts, photography, knitting, jewelry besides what I do currently, painting, etc, but when I found stamping, it just clicked. It was like my vision finally came together. It's a great feeling when you can finally harness what's always lived inside of you and make it something that other people appreciate and enjoy!

That is exactly how I feel Lisa! I love selling on Etsy and I've thought of 101 different things I could pursue, but for some reason, this has been the one that has just "clicked." I love it! I know that I have a long way to go in learning photography and editing, etc. but that is part of the fun!
