Hello,
My name is Bren, I am the team captain and I am looking for team leaders, always. So if you'd like to learn more about the responsiblities that come with being a team leader, simply contact me and I will send you the information.

I have created this Team thread for all of you and myself that may have questions. Perhaps you have a question about your shop or perhaps you just want to talk about your sick dog...whatever the conversation may be..that is what this thread is for. Have fun, be kind and respectful.

Now for Team Leaders. I have written up Team Leader Responsibilities. I will highlight this and keep it here. If after reading this you feel that you have the time to devote as a Team Leader, I'd love to have you aboard.

So the first thing that I want to mention is that as a team captain and team leader, we would want to make sure that everyone is following the rules of the threads. If we find someone that is not following the rules, we could remove their post and or you can contact me and I will take action if it's necessary to do so. I know that does not sound like fun, but it's necessary because some people will not follow the rules of each thread. The main thing that I want to keep an eye on is, when shop owners other than the team captain or team leader starts a new thread, this is not allowed and if we see this we are to shut the thread down immediately.

Now for the Fun stuff.
I would like for you as the team leader to go to the left side of the team column and you will find an invite button. See we want to invite all of our followers, admirers and other shops across etsy as many as we possibly can. The reason for this is for exposure. The more team members that we have means the more exposure that you and I and every team member that participates in the threads receive. So the first thing that I would ask for you to do is invite people, you can do this as often as you'd like. The next thing I'd like for you to do is research other team thread games and when you find one that you think will be popular amongst our shop owners then I would like for you to post a thread on the team explaining the game so that others can play along. Now the point in having games of course is to create fun exposure to all of those that participate in the threads.

So to sum it up:
1. Make sure that no one starts new threads other than the team captain and leaders.
2. Make sure that everyone is following the rules of the games posted.
3. Invite other shop owners, the more the better, I'd like to see over 1000 members. So I will be asking all team leaders to invite, invite, invite until their hearts are content.
4. Research and find fun games that other teams offer that may be just as fun for our team, keeping in mind that we want games that will promote Etsy shop owners in a fun way.
5. Then create game threads....once you find a game that you feel will gain popularity then post it. We don't want to post to many games all at once...the point in creating game threads is to create one thread that will have many people participating in it over and over again.

If you'd like to become a Team Leader after reading this, please leave a comment and I will make you a team leader and then you can simply begin taking on the Role. If you have any questions I am always here. Thank you.

Hi Brenda I'm also interested in becoming a team leader I do wood burning(pyrography) and haven't seen a team for that yet. I think that could be a good way to get help with sales..also I have a question hopefully you can help me in one of the teams called HEMPY it says That I was invited but I see no button to accept, join or contact anybody what do I do in those cases :/.. thank you for all your help I can't wait!! :)

I have my etsy shop called GïaBelle's Bowtique! I make handmade bows and headbands for girls!
I having an expirence right know on my shop..... A buyer selected a country that isn't her country so the shipping shows like an international shipping order..... The buyer tried to change it but can't and I also tried but can't do it as well.... Do you know what to do in a situation like this one?

Hi Brenda! I would love to have the info about being a team leader! I am new to Etsy but have done other "home business" shops before. Would like to start up a team for "shop tips" : visit a shop and state what is your favorite thing you like about how it is set up and list one thing that may need " tweeked" with at least 1 or 2 suggestions on how to possibly tweek it....

Hi all! I have had my shop for a few years but just started selling about a month ago. I make party decor. I sold 2 things right away but nothing since. Any advice on my shop, the name 'craftsandscraps' (I'm wondering if I need a better name before I go much further) Any and all advice is appreciated

Hello Shaela,
I love your shop. Your photos are great and I love that you have so many followers on Facebook. The best advice that I can give you for success is to ad more items in your shop. The more items the better chance your to be seen in Etsy search. I like to say that if you have 100 items or more that you will find that your views will excel and if they do not excel then you know that your tags, titles and descriptions need to be changed. I know that you will see that in my shop I don't have 100 items but this is my second shop on etsy. My first shop had 254 items in it and it kept me quite busy filling orders.

The Next thing that I want to recommend is that you turn to Etsy's Sellers handbook for great advice on how to create a successful shop. Here is the link to this book:

The last and final thing I want to mention is that you might want to accept direct checkout payments. You will find that they're are many customers that will not use paypal to check out.

Hello SouthernCharmCuffs,

I want to start by saying that you have a very lovely shop. The tips here are based off of my success here on etsy. I have a shop called Diviningseer and this shop is my second shop on etsy. I had closed down my first shop because I needed to take a break, my first shop overwhelmed me with orders...But I had to work very hard to become the success that I had became. I hope that everything that I am going to suggest helps you. My first suggestion for you would be to create a profile picture for yourself. I like to think of an Etsy shop as a brick and mortar retail such as walmart. If I were to walk into Walmart and all of the cashiers and stock persons and management were wearing ski masks, I'd leave and never come back. Why? Because I would not feel that I could trust the people in the store. Now this is just my opinion but if you were to go to etys forums you would find that many buyers and sellers would prefer to see a profile pic in the Etsy Shops that they are going to consider buying from as well. So that is my first suggestion. The forums can be found here:

The next thing that I would recommend is creating a Banner for your Shop. You will find that many shop owners do not have one and they are successful. A Banner should not just be a picture but it should highlight a feature that would convince the customer to continue shopping within your shop. If you look at my Banner you can see that I tried to do this and it would be a great idea to research other banners as well, to get a better idea of what other successful shops are doing.

I love your photos they are just right and you have plenty of items within your shop but I see that your not picking up too many sales so what I am going to do is look at your tag words....what I did was I opened up another page on Etsy and searched charm cuffs and I did not see you on the first page or on the second and third page. So this indicates that your tags, titles and descriptions would need to be adjusted. Here is how you do this, go to etsy search and just type in charm cuffs then look at items and shops that are selling similar items as yourself then look at their tag words and look at their sales. If this shop is selling very well then you would want to look at their tag words to see if you can use similar tag words, titles and descriptions. Now, I am also going to give you Etsy Seller Handbook to look at because it's great in explaining how to create great tag words, titles and descriptions. Here is the link:

Hello Brie,
Your shop is beautiful, I love your profile pic as well. The suggestions that I have for you are to ad a banner. A banner sells your shop it should tell the customer something about your shop or customer service. Many people just create a banner with a pic and that is great but I say why not use it to promote and market and even advertise yourself, your product and your customer service one more time. I also feel that a Banner helps the customer feel more comfortable about buying your items. If you would look at my other responses within this thread you will find me mentioning other reasons as to why I feel the Banner is one of your greatest selling points. The next thing that I would mention is to ad more items, the more items that you have the more chance that your going to get seen within etsy search. I feel 100 items is a good number and if you have less then 100 items and your selling then your tags, titles and descriptions are great. If you have 100 or more items and your not getting found then you know for sure that your title and tags and descriptions need to be adjusted. I will ad the Etsy Sellers handbook to this thread so that you can find how to ad the best tags, titles and descriptions. Another Great Tip is to create an About page the about page is another way for you to be found and it's a great way to explain to the customer all of the love and care you put into making your items. I feel that it's best to go look for other high selling shops that are selling items like yourself and then look at their about pages to get some ideas, while you their you should also look at their tags, titles and descriptions to get some tips for your own shop. I would also use social media to promote your shop as well. In this Sellers handbook you will find great tips on how to do this. I hope this helps, here is the link to the Etsy sellers handbook:

Great advice 😊 I noticed a huge difference, on my views, and even slightly more sales when I sorted out my tags, keeping the first 3 words in your title to match a few of your tags. Also linking a couple of your tags in the first couple of sentences in your description. A good description of products helps.About pages, are important, I kept mine informative and yet approachable. Only problem I get flustered with is my photography skills..but I use fotofuze to help me out I swear by it. 😊
