I am fairly new to etsy...set up my shop back in March but really didn't do much with it. Just recently I started adding items and hope to add much more. I haven't had a sale yet and wondering if people just aren't interested or if I should promote better. What do some of you who have experienced success think? Would love some seasoned opinions! Maybe I charge too much? I have been a stay at home mom for a year now and would love to have even a little success at this. Plus I host a 5k to "run down cancer" which I began when I was still working so hoping to do something to have a little extra cash to throw at that too. Of course I also really enjoy the process of making the upcycled items too! Any thoughts from some of you seasoned veterans would be much appreciated! :)

Advice: all the bandana bags I make can be made in several patterns and combinations of patterns...so I listed them by style of bag instead of design patterns...however I am wondering if I would do better listing every bag I have made so far even if it's the same style but different pattern design...just to,increase my number of listings? Thoughts?

Vinajo1972, I feel that your on the right Track. My thoughts are to list every bag that you have even if you have ten other bags that are the same or different. List them because the more items that you have the better chances of being found in search more often. I hope others come by to offer their thoughts as well. Don't forget about visiting the Forums as well. The Forums are filled with Etsy sellers that have been here for years and can give experienced advice if not expert advice. You can find the forums at the bottom of this page. Hope this helps,
Brenda.

It seemed to work really well
Generating sales for every one .
I know no one really likes buying into things but....... If you do one with no minimum purchase . It makes it easier do .

Creat a treasury using just our team members .
You stay in the treasury by buying from one of the other shops .
Start out by doing no minimum requirements.
So even buying a $2 item would keep you In .
As the holidays grow closer we all have gifts to get .... Why not from each other .
It will raise our sales and get some really good reviews too !

I was wondering if someone would take a look at my shop and tell me what I need to change in order to get the customer to purchase the product. I do good around here and at craft shows cause it is a personal item that is unique. Any help is warranted. I get nice replies but no buys.

Hi Kirsten, I loved your colourful canvases, with buyers not being able to physically touch and feel your products online selling is a little more hard work,
I had a look at you shop and your profile page. I want to give you as much information that works for me that may help with out sounding to critical. First thing people look at is your photos, maybe taking a stand back with your camera to get the whole canvas in shot so you have an idea how big they look, also clear back ground. I use an online editor called fotofuze.com I swear by it,to eliminate back grounds making the product stand out.Put more details in your descriptions tell them how the canvas inspired, why you make them, describe colours textures and even techniques on how they were made with out giving all your trade secrets away. Use titles in you description preferably in the fist paragraph, google picks these up along with matching tags in your listings. Brag about your shop in your about shop and profile. Potential customers look at your about shop page and profile,Tell them how you started up, what inspires your work, let people feel that you are approachable and can even contact you for a chat. Last thing, keep promoting your items here in teams we can all help by favouring to get that help for etsy search. Hope this is helps and most of all keep at it, your work is wonderful!

Hi Deborah, your shop and work is absolutely beautiful!! Keep networking your shop and jewellery post in teams get those items favoured and pinned join in as many games in teams that you are in. This should help a bit to get your items in search. Also follow some fellow jewellers or similar items to yours, networking on here is a big part of those sales.

Hi everyone
I have had my own etsy shop since march and I have only had one sale and would like to know what I can do better. I know it takes time. I am on instagram as much as possible, I have a facebook page for my shop as well as I have it hooked on to my own facebook for more exposure. I try my best on twitter but I haven't really gotten the hand on that one yet. I have recently joined several teams but im not so sure what else to do to make my shop more visited with buyers.
Any feedback would be awesome thank you so much.

Has anyone discovered pin4etsy yet? If you have not registered please do! I just stated using and its brilliant. you get 10 fee pins to pin then its just repining to promote your 10 free promoted pins from your etsy items in your shop. I have not had much traffic come from pinterest until I stated this. Its getting my view stats up and traffic driven to my shop. You can buy extra pin packs to promote, but I have just stuck with the free 10 given

here is the link give it a whirl what have you got to loose?
