When I started my Etsy store, I never expected it to be so much work. Not only did I have to display my work, but I also needed to become a copy-writing genius, a brilliant marketer and a promoting guru. It was all overwhelming! I quickly burnout, trying to accomplish it all at once.

Then I finally understood that I need to get organized and set specific and attainable goals, really small steps to help grow my business. These articles helped a lot:

http://etsy.me/1ut4r3e : "One of the most important aspects of your Etsy Goal is to create a goal that will keep you motivated, inspired, and moving toward completion. Once you reach your goal, you’ll feel a deep sense of accomplishment, which will, in turn, inspire you to create a new Etsy Goal — and then another, and another. In a nutshell, this is how businesses grow."

First milestones example:

1. make your first sale within three months. Before getting there:

❤ Take a whole day or 2 or 3 or even a week to really learn about SEO. There are great teams out there to help you do just that. Here is just one example http://etsy.me/1EirUNg

❤ Take a whole day or 2 or 3 or even a week to really master your descriptions. A simple Google search of: "how to write compelling descriptions" will bring you 47,400,000 results.

❤ Take a whole day or 2 or 3 or even a week to improve your photography skills. I found this to be one important and inexpensive way to do so: http://bit.ly/1hLO2Tf

❤ Apply everything you've just learned to perfect one item each day. Re asses everything: SEO (titles and tags), description, photos. Get your family, friends, team members opinions about it once it's done. Take each advise into consideration.

❤ Make it your mission to design, print, photograph and list a minimum of one/two new item/s each week.

Don't rush yourself, stay calm, get plenty of rest and feel free to write here for support.

All love, Andra
