Hi fellow clayers!! Thanks for the invite to this group :) I love poly clay - the medium is so versatile. I am a jewelry artist and even though I will wander down a new path with it - I always come back to the jewelry!!
Thanks for the invite. I have been playing with polymer clay for over 20 years, and love it. I do animal sculptures, beads, pendants, dragons, fairies, mermaids. Just haven't had a lot of time lately to make anything new. CAT
Hi, thank you for the invitation. I do like making beads, crosses, pendants, golf stroke counters and I love to teach. Looking forward to checking out more websites from members at this site.
Hello! I have been claying for about 5 years. I started because I wanted to make my own cabochons and beads to use in my seed bead creations, so it is no surprise that I make mostly beads, pendants, and cabochons to be used in jewelry making. I just love wearing something that I made from scratch!
Hi, nice to join this group :) Polymer clay is my favorit material becose of unlimited possibilities to create. :) I experiment on this material making jewelery.
I sculpt earrings/art for gauged (stretched) ear lobes. I also make pendants, regular earrings, incense burners etc. Fun stuff for family/friends gifts. I agree with Margute, polymer clay is one of my favorite materials. So easy to manipulate, the possibilities are endless!
Hello everyone, With the holiday season keeping me busy, I will have to come back and take a peek at all the artists here. I work a full time job and I am a full time clayer! So will come back soon to visit. Glad to be a part of the group.
<Waving Hi to everyone> This looks to be a fun group! I started doing polymer as a way to make beads, but quickly progressed to lots of other stuff. I make handbags and my signature has become a polymer clay embellishment of some sort on each bag. Also do jewelry, swirlies, covered items such as salt and pepper shakers, lotion dispensers and tissue boxes. Of course have been making holiday ornaments recently. http://www.flickr.com/photos/39493796@N08/ http://www.etsy.com/shop/HiGirls
Thank you for the invite. I mostly clay beads & pendants. I'm learning faux techniques for ivory/bone, coral, etc. I've done a few figurines as gifts, but I prefer making jewelry.
Thanks for asking me to join. I find I'm really too busy to fully participate in the PCAGOE to my chagrin and I hope you won't mind if I'm a "spotty" participant here. i recognize a few of your names and amd pleased to see some new ones. It's fantastic the way Polymer Clay has caught on and really nice to see what other artists are doing with it. Here's my "artists Statement" I work with artist strength and quality polymer clay which I combine with other materials in my jewelry pieces; mostly sterling, copper, semi-precious stone, glass, crystal and pearls.
Much of the jewelry I design is inspired by natural botanical and organic forms. There are lots of seeds, pods, flowers and some fossil and natural stone representations. I'm also attracted to millefiore and other complex caning.
Spiritually, celebration of the female seems to pull at me and this is being expressed through a series of small sculptural Goddess vessels. Inspiration also comes from eastern meditative religions in the form of Mandala designs on small bowls formed from combinations of many Millefiore cane elements.
I find it hard to remain focused on any one technique when there are so many new paths continually beckoning to be explored; consequently my work is always changing. I do a few local craft shows each year to support my habit and am fortunate enough to have some work in gallery's and museum shops. My etsy shop is sadly neglected and a new years resolution is to attend to it better to see if I can make it pay...right now it's just a 'presence' doing very little. I do business as StudioSchiek because I'm drawn to alliteration...lol but think I may soon change that to simply Arlene Schiek...gotta see if it's possible to rename an etsy shop...putting that on my to do list.
Hi, everyone! Thanks for inviting me to this group. I started working in polymer primarily in 2002 after being frustrated trying and trying to make flowers and leaves on glass beads. Hooray for polymer!
Hi everyone, some familiar names which is fantastic, thanks so much for inviting me here. I love to create art beads and have found that I tend to be drawn to alcohol inks and just love liquid clay - I put all sorts of things into it!! Here is a link to my little shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/DebbieCrothers
Thanks for the team invite! There's alot of work here that I haven't seen yet and will spend some time visiting peoples shops. I love to create faux raku necklaces and clay tiles. I love bright, rich colors and I like to splash them in every piece I make.
Hi, Thanks for inviting me to join!! I am a craft addict. I makes all kinds of stuff out of everything. : ). Right now i am on a clay canes binge. I like the challenge of making canes although most of the time I'm not to fond of how they turn out. I just did a long drawn out barn owl and it got warped so I'm not real happy, but I'll keep on trying. I look forward to checkin out everyone shops.Jenn
Hi Everyone, Another PC lover here! I make jewelry, bracelets and earrings mostly. Home decor, mostly switch plates. Occasionally I will make focal beads.
Sorry, I'm a little (fashionably) late to the party. :)
I see some familiar faces and many new acquaintances. I'll take a moment to read about all of you here shortly.
I have many hobbies and distractions. I'm a Flight Attendant by day and a published author by night. And for all the other times in-between, I play in clay. :) I make polymer clay beads ~ mostly floral and critter patterns in an eclectic array of shapes and sizes. I love to curl up and escape into a new adventure ... just receiving my first Kindle as a gift ... reading is another of my passions.
Hi! Thanks so much for the team invite! Polymer clay has been my passion for the last 6 years. I have been sharing my artwork and selling it on-line since early 2008. I design a limited and one-of-a-kind colorful handmade items. Right now I am concentrating on making polymer clay miniature kokeshi dolls, besides jewelry and home decor.
I hope you'll enjoy the selection. No need to say that I'm glad to be part of the team!
I cover items with canes that I make. I like to try to recycle, so I use tins and pens headed for the trash. I also do bathroom sets, cabinet knobs, picture frames. I love to do shows, but am trying to keep up with updating my shop!
Hi! Just joined up :D I do EVERYTHING polymer clay! Jewelry, sculpture, miniatures, home decor, wrapped pipes, and anything else Polymer clay can do. Ive been working with clay for over 16 years, and it still never gets old! I LOVE seeing all the incredible things that clay artist make here on Etsy. Cant wait to see what everybody else is making! Glad to be here with this team! :D
Just joined up. There are quite a few beautiful creations in the member shops. :)
I am pretty new to the polymer clay and am still getting a feel for it. So far I've done some skinner rolls and flaky silver sheets to make a few beads that I've turned into jewelry, like these earrings: http://www.etsy.com/listing/17472668/
In the past week I've been getting into symbol jewelry - inlaying some Reiki symbols to make flat circle beads for a necklace, and last night I tried a cutout method to have the chinese symbol for love out of pink and then place it over a white background. Not sure that I like that method as much. Got a lot of other ideas to try, like I think now would be a good time to try sculpting some ornaments.
Hey, another new joiner. I do all sorts of things with clay. Im moving away from jewelry and more into sculpture, a lot of it wearable sculpture--think large scale art jewelry. The one thing I dont seem to do with the clay is sell it-lol!
