Re: What do you Clay?

Where do I begin? :)

I started using polymer clay in March this year... Pretty much everything I've made since is in my shop.

I love making miniature donut magnets (Example: http://www.etsy.com/listing/61039228/pink-donut-magnet-set-6)
Plus, I make all sorts of jewelery out of polymre clay (and destash items). Here are some recent ones:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61674890/silver-bird-on-copper-pendant-and
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61675854/black-gold-oriental-pendant-polymer-clay

And THEN... there's my steampunk jewellery :) All totally unique, and all reasonably priced (which is more than I can say for most steampunk items!)
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61675182/gold-steampunk-heart-pendant-or-brooch

I also recently had a brainstorm and started crafting some Disney themed necklaces. I love my Disney :D I'm hoping they'll be popular!
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61676605/cinderella-silver-charm-necklace

I guess I've got a lot going on haha! I envy those who can do proper sculpting with polymer clay - it's amazing the quality of those items!

Re: What do you Clay?

Hi! *waves*

I do mostly filigree, though I used to be really into canes and I do still make them sometimes. I also have a ridiculous obsession with tiny koi.

Right now I'm making Christmas ornaments, pens, key rings, pendants, wooden boxes (with a clay insert in the lid), compacts, pillboxes, and probably more things that I'm forgetting.

Re: What do you Clay?

Hi, thank you for the invitation! ...I sculpt flowers and design them into jewelry. I like concentrating on vintage style necklaces, earrings and making bridal pieces. I liked doing bridal stuff so much I started blending colors to match David Bridals colors! Lots of fun :)

Some of the polyclay art I see on Etsy (and across the web) is amazing.

Re: What do you Clay?

Wow, it's really neat to see how many things can be made with polymer clay and imagination! Everyone has their own niche! I love to sculpt cake toppers and keepsakes. The majority of my work is custom. Baby's first birthday and wedding toppers are most popular. And my custom requests are usually very out of the norm which makes it challenging and fun! Take a look at some of my sold listings to see what I've done!

I also have a new website I just created at:
http://www.MichellesClayCorner.com

Glad to be part of the team!

Re: What do you Clay?

I love seeing everyone's stuff - it's all so different!! Gorgeous work everyone.

I am rather new to polymer clay, but I mostly make 'off the wall' minis, various pendants etc... zombies, brains, skulls (lots of skulls in the works actually), and I am currently firing a set of cute beavers & logs for a fun novelty set of jewelry.

Re: What do you Clay?

I make mostly beads but I'd like to make other things. The beads keep me so busy I just haven't had time to make much else. I love to see all the beautiful creations made by others.

Re: What do you Clay?

Hi Everyone!
Thank you for the invite to join this awesome team :) I look forward to making new friend, sharing tips with each other and promoting each others art!
A little background on me is that I work/create as a mother/daughter team. I don't think there is anything better than sharing creative collaborations with my mother. We find that we inspire each other, and work together as a great team! So, with that being said, I hope everyone enjoys what we have made together.

Re: What do you Clay?

Ha! I just realized I never stated what we clay!
To be more specific, we individually make handmade polymer clay flowers! With them, we make rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings and hairpins! We also have started making little figurines for the holidays. As well as holiday themed pins! Hope everyone enjoys!

Re: What do you Clay?

Hello fellow polymer clay addicts! Thanks for the invitation.
I have been "using" since about 1992 - yikes, that's a long time!

My focus is mostly beads & bow centers, pendants and jewlery.
<img src=http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_75x75.136192353.jpg>

I also make ornaments and have started cake toppers recently!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/RozPetalzStudio

We had some exciting news this week, when a necklace of mine was purchased from my Etsy Shop by the costume designer for Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place".
<img src=http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.151632597.jpg>
The character, Harper, will wear it in an upcoming episode! My daughter is beside herself!!!

Best of luck with holiday sales.
I look forward to getting to know all of you.

:)
Kathy

Re: What do you Clay?

Hi, thanks for the invitation to join the team! I clay...all kinda stuff - jewelry, small houses and other buildings (hubby has gotten me to build a village for him - church, store, barn, several houses) and I currently have one in my shop here, with another in progress...but I think hubby's gonna snatch it!) I make boxes of all shapes and sizes from clay, and sculpt small figures, mostly Santa Claus, but they disappear faster than I can get them listed!

I love polymer clay - I've always had a creative hobby, from cooking to sewing to papier mache`, decoupage, etc., etc. But polymer clay just fits me like nothing else.

:)
