“History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way. It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don't happen. Don't be a tough guy. Don't be a fool!”

It’s like he is talking to himself. He would do best by listening to his own “advice.” And judging by his response so far, I really don’t think Erdogan gives a sh*t.

Why couldn't Trump get whoever wrote the sensible tweet about the St. Louis Blues to write the letter to Turkey's President? This letter appears to have been written by a very young child & not a POTUS. To say this is an Oh My Gosh moment is putting it mildly.

And From NBC News:

"Democratic leaders in Congress on Wednesday angrily walked out of a White House meeting with President Donald Trump after he had a "meltdown," according to House Speaker.

The Democratic leaders said that the moment that prompted them to abruptly leave was when Trump called Pelosi "a third-rate politician" to her face.

"He was insulting, particularly to the speaker," Schumer said. "She kept her cool completely. But he called her a third-rate politician. He said that there are communists involved and you guys might like that. I mean, this was not a dialogue. It was sort of a diatribe — a nasty diatribe not focused on the facts, particularly the fact of how to curtail ISIS, a terrorist organization that aims to hurt the United States in our homeland."

The White House called the meeting to discuss the president's decision to withdraw troops, which paved the way for Turkey to invade the area. Ahead of the meeting, the House overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resolution rebuking the Trump’s decision to pull troops out in a 354-60 vote......

Republicans, who stayed behind in the meeting, spoke to reporters afterward. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said that Pelosi stormed out of the room, calling it “unbecoming” of the speaker.

"When there is a time of crisis, leaders should stay" whether they like what they’re hearing or not, he added..............."

McCarthy just doesn't get it. Yes, it's a crisis. A meeting planned. The meeting should be About The Crisis. Personal attacks on those attending should never happen. Why would (or should) anyone abased in this manner stay? Trump made it perfectly obvious he had no respect for them and therefore their opinions & suggestions.

That will be how he talks to his wives. trump has met his match in a bunch of strong women Democrats. The crisis is the result of another trump lack of knowledge or judgment on foreign policy. It is trump allowing an opening for the turks to annex land that they have wanted for some time.

Got to think that a transcript of phone calls to Turkey also exist and are locked away.

Aren't all meetings between the White House and the Democratic leadership end in the president having a meltdown or tantrum and the Democrats storming out of the meeting. It is so predictable.

"A Soviet-born South Florida businessman arrested last week on federal campaign-finance charges seemed just "like any other donor," Gov. Ron DeSantis said Wednesday.

DeSantis was among Florida Republican candidates who received contributions during the 2018 election cycle from Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who were arrested on campaign-finance charges involving the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action.

With photos emerging this week of the duo close by DeSantis during his election-night party last November, DeSantis said Wednesday he was unaware of the alleged illegal activities and that the two appeared "legitimate."

"I knew Parnas. I didn't know the other guy as much," DeSantis said while in Jupiter to announce environmental legislation for the 2020 session. "But this was a guy who at RNC (Republican National Committee) functions, Trump Victory functions, he was at a lot of these things, was I think viewed as one of the top supporters of the president in Florida. And so, it was just like any other donor. Nothing more than that."

The Miami Herald reported that Parnas also hosted two fundraisers for DeSantis in 2018.

After the charges emerged in the federal case, DeSantis announced he was turning over to the federal government the $50,000 that Parnas and Fruman contributed to his political committee through a Delaware corporation called Global Energy Producers....."

Betting there is A Lot more to this story then we know right now. But did DeSantis make an "oops" when describing the duo??

Sometimes I wonder if Trump just so used to doing whatever he d*rn well pleases, then if something went awry he either got one of his Attorneys/fixers to smooth everything out or he simply ignored the entire situation. If that thought correct, then I'd say Trump has really Never learned how to be a "great deal maker" & has absolutely no idea what to do. But he's going to protect himself, so he figures the best way is to blame &/or attack others. This is something a child or bully does. We need a Grown Up in the POTUS seat but think we'll have to wait on that wish.

David Correia, who worked with Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, is now in federal custody and will be arraigned Thursday.  Correia was arrested at John F. Kennedy airport today.

Correia has been a pro golfer, a restaurant owner, a Philadelphia real estate investor and a commercial mortgage lender, according to his company biography. His LinkedIn describes him as a “serial entrepreneur.”

Over the summer, Correia called a New Jersey couple seeking to enforce a $500,000 court judgment against Parnas in Florida over a movie deal gone bad.“He said we no longer knew who we were dealing with and that (they) had ties all the way up to the State Department and the White House and they were partners with Rudy Giuliani,”

Voter records show Correia is not affiliated with a political party — but he seems to have become a fan of President Donald Trump. A photo posted online in January 2018 shows Correia with the president. Correia and Fruman also appear to have met Trump at a campaign event for America First Action, a pro-Trump super PAC, according to a photo posted on July 4, 2018, on the Facebook page of Ukraine’s chief rabbi.

Ukraine again

Both Parnas and Fruman have a history of business dealings with Giuliani. Correia is accused of conspiring with the other defendants to make political donations to local and federal politicians in New York, Nevada and other states with the aim of trying to get support for a new recreational marijuana business.

Correia is listed as the registered agent for a Florida corporation tied to a series of wire transfers prosecutors allege was part of an elaborate effort to hide the true source of funds used to make the donations.

He has all the qualifications to work in the WH.

"Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings, Chair of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, has died at the age of 68."

From Sen. Ben Cardin:

"His commitment to his city and country was unwavering, as will be my lasting respect for him.”

Chairman Elijah E. Cummings and I shared a city, an alma mater, a love of the law and a life of public service. I am deeply saddened by his passing, and my prayers today are with his family and loved ones – and the people of Baltimore. The death of Chairman Cummings leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts, in our Maryland and in our Congress. Quite possibly no elected official mattered so much to his constituents. Chairman Cummings guaranteed a voice to so many who would otherwise not have one, and stood as a symbol for the heights one could reach if they paid no mind to obstacles, naysayers and hate. His commitment to his city and country was unwavering, as will be my lasting respect for him.

From Nancy Pelosi

“Earlier this year, Chairman Cummings asked us, ‘When we’re dancing with the angels, the question will be asked: in 2019, what did we do to make sure we kept our democracy intact?’ May Chairman Cummings’ strength guide us as we carry on his work to honor the oath and protect our democracy," she said.

Trump apparently made quite the impression with his letter to Turkey's President.

"Today, Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are in Ankara to attempt old-fashioned diplomacy. By now, it might be too late. “They say, ‘Declare a cease-fire.’ We will never declare a cease-fire,” Erdoğan said Tuesday. If Erdoğan sticks to his guns, literally and metaphorically, it will show how little American leadership is respected overseas. If Pence and Pompeo succeed, it will demonstrate the failure of the president’s personal approach. Not that he seems to care what happens. “They’ve got a lot of sand over there,” Trump said yesterday. “So there’s a lot of sand that they can play with.” It’s hard to believe that world leaders don’t put more stock in his word."

It's now being reported US troops bombing weapons storage facilities so contents doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

Quite the stupid statement.

Another stupid statement from pompeo -“The United States didn’t give Turkey a green light.”  Turkey is not interested in getting the US's permission. He will do what he wants, when he wants.

Slow witted to think that anyone is paying attention to what this administration is saying.

Russia invaded and seized parts of eastern Ukraine in 2014, prompting condemnation from Western countries, including the U.S. Obama's administration did not choose to withhold military aid in order to get Ukraine's cooperation. That is all on trump.

Unfortunate that pence & pompeo were allowed to leave the country.

He is essentially saying that he is still a child ruled over by an overbearing parent. Needs some therapy to identify why he allows this to happen.

Trump has awarded himself the G7 summit. Taxpayers will now pick up the tab for security, etc for any of the leaders that choose to attend. Now will come the tantrums as to why he has the right to invite Russia back to the table.

Was anyone surprised?

The announcement calls into question the integrity of the State Department’s procurement process and raises a question as to whether Trump improperly obtained sensitive procurement information.

The spectacle of a presidential administration awarding a costly and highly sensitive contract to a company owned by the president, in support of an event that he will lead, undermines the credibility of the federal procurement system.

Hopefully he will be out of the WH and into prison or sent to Siberia in exile.

So past US presidents just overlooked that gem or is trump lying like usual. Steamy hot Miami in June sounds like a great option, sure. Hopefully he took care of the bedbugs. Are US tax payers going to pay for the upgrades that would be needed.

If he invites putin other leaders should just not show up, he and putie can spend that time getting to know each other better. From the announcement the focus will be convincing other G7 countries to move backwards like trump is taking the US so a waste of time, climate change will not be a topic. Why waste time and money on a sweaty trump propaganda spiel. Just say NO, or impeach and remove him that would work too.

Trump's Tweets:

"This deal could NEVER have been made 3 days ago. There needed to be some “tough” love in order to get it done. Great for everybody. Proud of all!"

"This is a great day for civilization. I am proud of the United States for sticking by me in following a necessary, but somewhat unconventional, path. People have been trying to make this “Deal” for many years. Millions of lives will be saved. Congratulations to ALL!"

The Response:

"Turkey’s president has responded to a tweet by Donald Trump in which the U.S. leader says a Turkish-U.S. cease-fire deal will save millions of lives.

In his response, Recep Tayyip Erdogan tweeted Thursday: “Mr. President, many more lives will be saved when we defeat terrorism, which is humanity’s arch enemy.”

Erdogan’s reply came hours after the U.S. and Turkey agreed to a five-day cease-fire in northern Syria during which Kurdish fighters would withdraw to roughly 20 miles from the Turkish border. Turkey regards the Syrian Kurdish fighters as terrorists due to their links to outlawed Kurdish rebels fighting in Turkey."

So suddenly Trump is saving millions of lives supposedly cleaning up a mess he started. While US is promoting this as a cease-fire, Turkey is saying this is a 5 day respite from attacks. So the 20 mile "buffer zone" must be cleared in that length of time(?) What happens if people don't want to go? And Syria & Russia now involved and that raises quite a few more questions.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who told a press conference that "this is not a ceasefire." He added: "A ceasefire is held only between two legitimate parties and we're just taking a pause for the safe zone, which is the goal of the operation."he Kurdish-led side also pushed back,

Syrian Democratic Council—the political wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces—member Sihonak Dibo tweeting: "The resistance of dignity bore its first fruits: No safe zone will happen in northern Syria under Turkish auspices." He added: "The Turkish occupation in northern Syria has failed."

"The agreement doesn't cover the rest of the Northern Syria areas, and it will be discussed later," he added, rejecting "Turkish occuption."

The terms of the deal appear to match up with the original goals of Turkey's so-called "Operation Peace Spring" that was launched last week as Trump announced his intention to pull troops.

Trump hands over northern Syria to Erdogan after he displaced 300 thousand civilians and killed and wounded hundreds of them over 8 days of the so-called Operation 'Peace Spring'," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

Turkish-backed Syrian Arab fighters killed at least two Kurdish prisoners on Saturday, one of them lying on the ground with his hands bound behind his back, in a powerful illustration of the forces unleashed by President Trump’s decision to pull back American troops shielding former Kurdish allies in northern Syria.

A video that captured one of the killings shows two of the Turkish-backed group’s fighters firing bullets at close range into the man with his hands tied while their colleagues shout “God is great!” The second prisoner who was killed appears in the video alive and wearing a military uniform, but he is missing from the group’s later social media post about its captives.

The guy in the military outfit was neutralized,” said Al-Harith Rabah, a media activist with the Arab fighters who was at the scene.

How many war crimes have been committed by the Turks with trump's blessing?

The White House has recently stated that Turkey is planning on invading northern Syria, sparking concerns for the well-being of Kurds in the area. The statement follows a phone call between US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan several days ago.

Another phone call. I bet the transcripts of calls between trump & erdogan are safely in the secured computer.

It wouldn't need to have happened at all if trump wasn't enamoured with 'strong men leaders' and gullible. He is a fool and they played him like a fiddle. 'Tough love' trump, someone show him the dead children. Who will he blame the resurgence of ISIS on. The world is a lot less safe but putin and erdogan are happy so theres that. Plus US troops are not going home. So many lies but trump is patting himself on the back and no doubt his fans will be cheering him on. Fools.

"Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano said Thursday that President Trump's decision to host next year's Group of Seven (G-7) summit at one of his golf properties in Florida was a "direct" and "profound" violation of the Constitution's Emoluments Clause.

“He has bought himself an enormous headache now with the choice of this. This is about as direct and profound a violation of the Emoluments Clause as one could create,” Napolitano said on the Fox Business Network while citing passages from the constitutional provision....

The latest criticism came after White House acting chief of staff Mike Mulvaney announced earlier Thursday that Trump would host the annual G-7 summit at his Miami-area Trump National Doral resort, saying that "this was by far and away the best choice" for an event that convenes leaders from around the world.

Mulvaney rejected the notion that holding the event at a Trump property represented a conflict of interest, asserting that the president would not profit from the gathering.

"There’s no issue here on him profiting from this in any way, shape or form," Mulvaney said.

Napolitano dismissed Mulvaney's argument, saying that the Emoluments Clause does not "address profits."

"It addresses any present, as in a gift, any emolument, as in cash, of any kind. ... The purpose of the Emoluments Clause is to keep the president of the United States of America from profiting off of foreign money," he said, adding that the framers of the Constitution were not concerned about Mulvaney's argument.

"They were concerned about a gift or cash coming directly or indirectly to the president of the United States, even if it’s done at a loss," he said. "Now, the president owns shares of stock in a corporation that is one of the owners of this, along with many other investors.

"He also owns shares of stock in the corporation that manages it. So those corporations will receive a great deal of money from foreign heads of state because this is there. That’s exactly what the emoluments clause was written to prohibit."

The above from (surprise!) Fox News. What seems so utterly obvious to most people with a basic understanding of the Emoluments Clause is obviously lost on Trump & many in his Admin.

Add in the real-world of Miami - HOT, HUMID, Hurricane or Tropical Storm THREATS, h*ck daily thunderstorms now cause the roads to flood, oh & did I say Hot & Humid(?)
