I've been trying to follow them all, but agree that Biden would not be my first choice.

So far, what I've realized is I'd like to pick one, or more, policy(s) from each candidate & blend into what I think is 'perfect'.

But realize that 's not reality & as long as the name isn't Trump, I know where my vote is going.

I'm kinda waiting to see who shakes out. There's a lot of them, including the new one today, I forget his name. I do like Kamala Harris, though. Joe seems OK--- moderate and middle of the road, which isn't always a bad thing. As for his hair sniffing, shoulder massaging, boundary breaking  issues   :P

I like Elizabeth Warren, she is progressive, not afraid to fight and might actually benefit voters, but I know she is a long shot. I also like Harris and Buttigeig but they don't seem as progressive, they might appeal more to middle of the road folks so might do well. A lot of good options but it seems so early to me, our election is this Oct and there is little about it yet. We have very short elections. A rock with a D on it is a better option than trump.

There's a few good people. Harris and Buttigeig are 2 of my favorites so far. I'm not supportive of Biden, but he is a great campaigner.

Well, if I were one of the Democrats that could read the slightly less redacted version, I'd do it. Maybe you couldn't talk about it with any other members (except maybe the others allowed to?) but it might give a glimpse into something worth while & possible give the reader "suggestions" on further questions they might ask in a committee hearing.

trumplicans are likely trying to get a couple of Dems to view it so they can claim it is case closed, some are trying that already. Seems all the money spent on it the AG would look at the underlying evidence or at least read the full report himself. He had his mind made up before it was released, why trump chose him. They are afraid of the truth and Dems likely know that the full report revealed to the public is the only thing that might get some to realize the extent of the corruption, some still believe trump and fox, that is quite the hill to climb.

The Trump Organization, the Trump Corporation, the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, and the Trump Old Post Office LLC are also plaintiffs in the president's lawsuit.

Jay Sekulow & the other lawyers cannot call it presidential harassment, when they themselves are accusing the lawmakers of targeting a “private citizen.” 

If trump wants to be "a private citizen" then he has no immunity against prosecution for all the crimes committed outlined in the Mueller report. 

Documents sought included some for accounts linked to underage relatives of Mr. Trump’s, which they said could serve no relevant purpose. Unless that is where the illicit monies are funneled in order to avoid paying the proper taxes.

trump is a hyperlitigious litigant, consistent with a narcisstic, abuse of power personality. These individuals wish to have their alleged suffering, humiliation and victimization witnessed on the stage of litigation, hence more of the presidential harrassment theme. The Courts’ need to more effectively manage & regulate individuals who exhibit this problematical behavior. 

Querulous behaviour is a the legitimate concern of mental health professionals. Those caught up in a querulous pursuit of their notion of justice need to be treated for mental health issues, so their delusions can be brought under control.

I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms. This is the United States of America — and we have what’s known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!

How many organizations & individuals have been blocked BY d t ON TWITTER BECAUSE THEY CALL OUT HIS LIES WITH TRUE FACTS?

In the time that I have written this post, tweets that are negative about trump personality & the Robert Mueller Report have been removed from trump's twitter account.

So someone who retweets racist commentary, is not racist in some individuals minds? My belief system would not allow me to retweet any of the type of rhetoric that inflames hate, racial & religious biases.  What is trump's belief system?

If The Rebel Media, a far right online political & social commentary have banned her, this show how far, far, right she has become in her rhetoric.

Since p j watson is British, southern is Canadian & milo is British, how is trump defining American citizens? Are "citizens" the ones who support & spread his rhetoric?

Mainstream media, Democrats, select individuals who express free speech in a different way than trump are censored. If you don't fall in with trump party line, then you are mocked, bullied & censored online by tweets, trump & co, trump followers, white nationalists, conspiracy theorists.

These ones are fighting back against the bystander effect which is very popular right now. It just takes 1 person to stand up & say that this is not right, then the like minded group members will follow.

Just so no one forgets the babies, toddlers & older kids separated from their families.  John Kelly has joined the board of Caliburn, the parent company of Comprehensive Health Services, which operates Homestead and three other shelters for unaccompanied migrant children in Texas. 

Prior to joining the WH, Kelly had been on the board of advisors of DC Capital Partners, an investment firm that now owns Caliburn.

Under a federal court agreement known as the Flores settlement, unaccompanied migrant are supposed to be housed in "non-secure" facilities, which means the children cannot be prevented from coming and going as they please. 

Homestead's administrator said that is technically the case in Homestead, but acknowledged that the facility is surrounded by a tall covered fence and monitored by a large team of private security contractors.

The heavy security is one of a slew of issues repeatedly raised by lawyers tasked with monitoring compliance with Flores. They flagged Homestead, as well as a dozen other facilities, in a Dec. 31, 2018, letter to the Department of Justice outlining what they say are violations of the agreement. 

Days begin at 6 a.m. and follow a strict schedule, as children proceed in single-file lines from building to building, supervised by a staff of more than 2,300. 

Sounds like these kids are in a juvenile detention centre, rather than a non-secure facility that is required by the Flores Agreement.

As a federal contractor Comprehensive received at least $222 million to operate Homestead between July 7, 2018 and April 20, 2019, They could receive up to $341 million in payments between now and November.

Kids continue to enter the system, though dozens of the care providers have been sued or disciplined before for mistreating children in their care.

Cecilio Ramirez Castaneda, a Salvadoran whose 12-year-old son, Omar, was taken from him when they were apprehended in June under the administration's "zero tolerance" policy. Omar feared his father had given up on him during the five months he spent in a Southwest Key shelter in Brownsville, Texas, with dozens of kids.

During the 5 months Omar was held in a juvenile  centre he was hospitalized for depression and medicated for unclear reasons and suffered a broken arm while in government custody.

Babies have been placed into the foster care system in US States without any hope of being reunited with family members.

 An attorney for a Guatemalan teen held in the Yolo County, California, juvenile detention center for 11 months said his client was locked in restraints when he acted out and stung with pepper spray. Attorney Travis Silva convinced a judge to release the boy in November to his mother in Ohio. He's now being treated for trauma and mental illness, said Silva, and shelter statistics show 14 other teens remain locked inside. "He was locked in a cell, allowed one hour a day outside," said Silva. "And outdoor time was anxiety-provoking, because that's when there could be fights." 

Staff members at a Southwest Key shelter in Phoenix allegedly physically abused three children this year (2018), leading to the closure of the shelter in October, federal officials said. And a lawsuit filed earlier this year alleged that Latino youths at the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center in Virginia were beaten while handcuffed and locked up for long periods in solitary confinement, left nude and shivering in concrete cells.

As of Dec. 17,2018  9,800 children were in facilities housing more than 100 kids

5,405 of those were in 3 facilities with more than 1,000 youths, 2 in Texas, 1 in Florida.

April 2017,  1,368 migrant children in facilities or foster care in Texas.  Dec. 17, 2018, the number was about 8,700

I laud programs on the opposite end of the spectrum. like Noank Community Support Services in Groton, Connecticut & Abbott House in Irvington , NY.

Noank housed teenagers, some with their babies, and some sibling pairs whose parents have been murdered.

Abbott House, takes kids with medical needs such as diabetes, cerebral palsy, depression and anxiety. It is housing 51 migrant boys and girls; the youngest is 3 years old.

Friends of Youth in Seattle. "Most of these children are coming from great trauma and really terrible things have happened to them in their short lives."

1 Republican Congressman Will Hurd, whose district includes Tornillo, demanded that the government reunite the children with their families and shut down the detention camp by the end of the year, when the contract expires.

"Unnecessarily holding children for prolonged periods of time is no deterrent to illegal immigration," he said. "All of this is a symptom of a broader problem, and that is that we're not doing enough to address root causes of migration. We are the United States. We are better than this."

Another way of not being a bystander. is too keep these types of issues in front of the American voter. trump noise will try to silence any mention of the consequences of his zero tolerance human rights violations.

Off topic here, but did you all see that Etsy is being sued?  The case involves a child that died from choking because of a teething necklace that was made by a seller here on Etsy. The necklace should have had a release on it, in case it was caught on something.  I have never heard of a teething necklace before.  Etsy has said that the seller, not Etsy should be sued, but shouldn't Etsy be liable for something?  Thoughts?

The poor family to lose their child. I never heard this but I don't think Etsy should be sued. I see them as providing a service or platform for shops to sell on and not providers or makers of the product. Kind of like if a mall rents space to a store or restaurant would they be responsible if a product hurt someone, I wouldn't think so but seems a reach. The lawyers would go after Etsy because they are more likely to have money than a small shop but not sure it will fly. I would stay away from selling some products for that reason unless I had a good insurance policy but then still think twice.

Similar but slightly different, a two year old child in Canada recently died from the e coli outbreak from romaine lettuce. If it turns out it was from neglect from the gov't removing safety regulations (talking to you trump) I think the gov't should be sued and not the farmer. They set the regulations and if they knowingly remove standards that affect safety they are partially responsible for the fallout.

Same for the Boeing 737 Max plane involved in the crashes that resulted in deaths. Go after the company and then look into if the gov't body responsible for safety standards had any involvement, maybe rushed approval or anything else and go after them.

In those cases there are others directly involved in the standards where Etsy isn't. It might be interesting to see the outcome though.
