Along the same lines, Rep. Ilhan Omar called Stephen Miller a white nationalist, HE IS ONE, and some on the right are accusing her of anti-Semitism. Pointing out the vileness of one person, who happens to be a Jew, is NOT anti-Semitism. Good grief every person would be able to hide behind their religion or their status if that were the case and not be held accountable for their own words or actions.

Of course trump is jumping on that and retweeting video clips from fox pushing that about Omar, totally ignoring that someone was just arrested for threatening her life over their crap.

Does it not dawn on those fools that if it makes her an anti-Semite to call out one Jewish person for their actions it would also make them all Islamophobic to call out one Muslim. Never mind that they go much further with blanket race and religion comments. They are all hypocrites and really not very bright.

If something happens to her trump and fox will have blood on their hands. Her being Muslim does not mean she has to be silent about trump having a white nationalist as an advisor, that should be a problem for everyone. Self examination is not a trumplican characteristic, just point to everyone else and play the victim. So gross.

Jan 15, 2019 - The House Oversight and Reform Committee announced on Monday the launch of an  into the pharmaceutical industry's pricing practices.

Representative Elijah E. Cummings (D-Maryland), chairman of the committee, requested in-depth pricing information from 12 companies on major brand-name drugs that treat cancer, diabetes, and other conditions.

The Associated Press reports that the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America didn't immediately respond to Cummings' announcement about the investigation. But the group has emphasized in the past that price regulation would be detrimental to the U.S. health-care system by eliminating companies' financial incentives to devote funding to research and development of breakthrough medications.

Prices are determined solely by what insurance companies and patients are willing to pay. The House committee seeks to find out what pharmaceutical companies actually do with all of their drug revenue. Now, it's up to those companies to prove that they have nothing to hide.

April 4, 2019 report.  In an unusual move, House Republicans are warning drug companies against complying with a House investigation into drug prices.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee sent letters to a dozen CEOs of major drug companies warning that information they provide to the committee could be leaked to the public by Democratic chair Elijah Cummings in an effort to tank their stock prices.

Another example of  "fat cat" republican manipulations.

American affordable healthcare wll not come under this group of people.

Universal healthcare  will always come out on top. Nothing is perfect, but at least  everyone has access to healthcare &  I have access to NHS & Canadian healthcare options both have provided me with excellent healthcare.

I tend to support those who, are at least, are making some sort of effort in the right direction. The right direction being healthcare options for those who have watched family members die needlessly over decades, because they couldn't access a basic human right.

No one is saying that the ACA ia perfect, but those Americans who see nothing wrong with a system that puts you into medical debt really cannot complain unless they have an alternative option ready to go.  I don't advocate a healthcare system that encourages a me first attitude.

Imagine being diabetic, having a drug to keep you alive, and dying because of money. Just wrong.

It's crazy the difference in drug costs between different countries. I started a drug Ivabradine about a month ago, it costs around $375 + a month in the US and I paid $79 for a six week supply in Canada, covered by my insurance. That is if their US insurance will cover it, many are refusing as it's only been approved a few years ago in the US and Canada. I believe it was developed in France so the old spiel that the US is being gouged for research wouldn't apply. Americans are ordering from Canada and paying out of pocket. That is a shame because not everyone can afford it and should never happen.

I prefer tax based healthcare (yes we know it is not free and that our taxes pay for it) where everyone is covered. I think letting go of the idea that any healthcare plan has to be perfect from the start might help, start somewhere and build on it. Likely what Obama hoped for. We still don't have universal prescription, dental or eyeglass coverage and most rely on insurance but there are programs that cover kids, low income people or seniors and it is slowly being added for everyone. We need to keep Conservatives out of power because they block or cancel any progress, our province had drug coverage for youth to 26 and Conservatives cancelled it. They are backward thinkers.

Also noted is that the price of insulin has more than doubled since 2012. The young man's death happened quite shortly after he turned 26 & went off his parents health plan. 

No nothing is ever going to be perfect, but we (USA) need to figure out the best Plan for Everyone.

Crazy example of one brand of insulin, $300 in US and $32 in Canada. Someone is benefitting from high drug prices in the US and it isn't the people who need them.

"Humalog went from $24 a vial when it came out in 1996 to $300 full retail now. People can get Humalog in Canada for $32 Canadian."

trump is not a good businessman & neither are any of his associates. I am not a financer, but I do know that when supply dwindles as OPEC is turning off the taps, share priices go up & the price at the pump increases.

Cost of US crude jumped 12%, trading over $70.00 a barrel & US national average price has gone up  30 cents.

Buyers are fnding crude from North Sea & West Africa easier to buy.

Some of the comments under trumps hateful tweets give me a sliver of hope. Many are calling out his crap and pointing out things he said after 9-11 and how he cozies up tothe saudis who were the majority of the terrorists. There are still comments from the educated by meme crowd but they are being drowned out by common sense. Baby steps and deprogramming will likely take at least a decade ;)

I listened to his speech and a few times thought 'trumplicans will be on him for that one' but those who like trump are unlikely to vote for him anyhow so no loss.

He is vile. I spoke too soon when I posted that some of the comments left under trumps sick tweet gave me a sliver of hope, the scum all moved over and are tweeting under Rep. Ilhan Omar tweets instead. There were several that were removed by twitter, likely the threats, but even those left up are sickening. trump is pushing islamophobia because all he has is hate, it is his whole platform. Dems really should consider telling trumplicans to go kick rocks when they whine about anything she or any other Dem say, if they can continue to do and say nothing when trump spreads hate, some even joining in (talking to you crenshaw and fox) then they can just learn to suck it up. Hypocrisy.

Edited to add, not surprising that many of the vile crap tweets responding to her tweets are trumps words just parroted, some of them can't even think for themselves anymore. They do love their propaganda memes too, they could at least fact check them before posting.

What I find most disturbing about the whole Trump, Rep. Omar twitter posting, is that Trump is the POTUS. He can push his agenda, criticize differing legislation presented or passed, etc. but in the end he should act like he is the POTUS. He should not post edited video clips, or be vile in his posts. I simply do not understand how or why people embrace his actions.
