Pattern marketing

Has anyone tried to market their pattern site using google ads or other channels?

I'm currently trying Bing/Microsoft ads.  I decided to try those, as I had already been using Google Ads for my Etsy shop.  Also, I was hoping they might be a bit cheaper.

The problem is that you can't directly track clicks to purchases.  You can't edit your html to add their code, so you're kind of blindly advertising.  I've been doing it for a little over a month and I can't really give you much feedback on it other than that. 

I may stop those and do Google directly since you can add the Google Code on Pattern.

I'd love to hear what others have to say.

@SmileClipart, Good Question.  I do not do any marketing for my pattern site.  I, too, would like to see what others have to say.
