I'm throwing in the towel with my Pattern site.

I've redirected my custom domain back to my Etsy site. After 7 months and not a single order, I just can't justify spending $15 a month. I admit that I never tried running paid advertising to my site, and I didn't send many newsletters out (to my 12 subscribers - one being my mom), but since I was getting traffic to my Pattern site, I had to conclude that there must be other things preventing people from placing orders.

I did provide comments as to why I was dissatisfied with Pattern (other than no sales), so I hope that may help out those of you who are able to make Pattern work for you. I wrote:

"A lot of features are missing from Pattern that would be very helpful, such as:
Ability to leave reviews, add videos, link photos to variations, add customer comments, ability to customize the site more (like add text, besides the few characters allowed in the top notice). A lot of the themes don't work. There are no ongoing updates/fixes, and virtually no technical support."

I found this interesting - when I clicked the button to cancel Pattern, they offered to extend my subscription another month for free. I declined.

I wish you all the very best of luck with your businesses!

Re: I'm throwing in the towel with my Pattern site.

Hello, I have been trying to get the contact page to work, talked to 3 different so called techs. Got a whole bunch of run around and still not working. I told the last one I would not keep paying for a half baked site with no support. I guess maybe they want us to leave. I will probably do the same as you. Merry Christmas

I'm sorry you are going through that frustration.

That's why I was so surprised they were going to give me another month for free. It just feels so much like they are trying to get to leave Pattern.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Re: I'm throwing in the towel with my Pattern site.

I quit mine a few months ago too. I loved the idea of my inventory being managed through one page, but I've gone ahead and returned to Wix. At least I feel like I have a real website again, where I can influence my traffic. For the cost, I just didn't feel that Pattern offered anything of use as a website. Since I quit it, my traffic decreased but my sales are up and my conversion is up. I suspect a lot of the Pattern traffic was bots. I still send my checkout through Etsy for right now, but I'll see how things go over the next few months.

My contact page doesn’t work and I’ve tried updating my website design and layout the last few days and no matter what I try it won’t update at all! It’s so broken and I feel scammed

It is more broken than usual!  I have reported the issue about being unable to update the site to Etsy.  Please do the same.
