Rest Kat..its wonderful that you got to be alone with the baby!!! But make sure you treat yourself with care so soon after your surgery.

I decided to do some Holiday shows now that I can walk around again and they are only a few minutes fro home. Ive been insane getting organized and making new things ..only selling dolls and art but there is so much to do.
Love to all...starting to get ready for the season and hopefully lots of work.

Hey Leslie...actually, I've been doing really well. I think I'm getting pretty healed up. Sunday was the first day that I didn't take one thing for pain in the last year and a half. When I do feel tight or a little sore, I'll take an Ibuprofen 600 mg. I can take them for pain every 6 hours, but at the most I do once a day, esp. if I've been overdoing it. In comparison, before surgery I was taking them 4 times a day and alternating in-between with 4 OTC Tylenol and was STILL in a great amount of pain. So, I've come a long way baby! :D

Cool you are doing a couple of shows...I have pondered with the idea, but eh!!! I wish you the bestest of luck, I am sure with your art, you will do great!!!

Just had a customer from last year contact me about slippers, she said she'll be ordering 7-8 pair in the next few days...YIPPEEE!!!

I got a call to come in and teach a lesson. I taught the lesson today.
It went fine. It was like being a substitute teacher, because the kids were a bit active.
I really liked the principal. She had a great attitude and was busy but always calm and easy going. She had it all together.
They have two more teachers teaching lessons tomorrow. So now, I wait.

Im keeping the show stuff..easy and light , I have a banner it makes me feel like a grown up!!!), the dolls weigh next to nothing and fit in one box, all of my prints will be 5 x 7, as Im tired of trying to figure out what people want and ending up with dozens of pieces that sit in my closet. AND I'm selling all of the originals that' I want to move out of my inventory. The prices will be insane , so we'll see. Im trying to stay in a centered place between "I'll do really well" and " whats the point, no one will buy anything". HAHAHA The typical artists' mind set.

Taking a break...I am painstakingly going thru my "Solds" and creating an email list on a Word document so that I can email past customers with my Holiday Card promotion. Figured it best to create a list, so that I don't have to go thru this again if i want to do another email promo in the future.

Reading back and hearting listings (probably again, but what the heck, lol)

Juls, keeping my fingers crossed. I once had to do a lesson to teach Photoshop at the community college when I lived in Port Huron. I passed and they were all set to hire me, but they didn't have enough interest in the class. It was one of those community classes, like macrame or learning guitar...what do they call those classes? Anyway, it never panned out for me.

I sure hope you get the job, any word yet? It's good you like the principal.

Hi all. I always seem to have an issue lately. Now it's my shoulder. Dr. said it is bursitis. Chiropractor said it is turning into a frozen shoulder. Uggh! Juls any news yet? Have a great night everyone.

Hey Sandy, sorry about the shoulder. You are right, it was just your back bugging you. What do they recommend for bursitis?

My shoulder is still so weak from not using it much the past couple of years. It gets a bit tender when I'm on the computer too long, or crocheting too much, or vacuuming, or.....well, anything. But SO much better than it was before my surgery.

I do have exercises, but of course I haven't even looked at the sheets the doctor gave me, much less done any of them...so, it's my own darn fault. Just never seem to have enough time in my day.

I've been working hard to get my shops stocked, set up for the season...shouldn't the sales be coming in by now???

Anyways, just created a new Christmas card, what do you all think?

Okay... So, I have been so busy.
I got a call Friday afternoon, after school.
I GOT THE JOB! I am so thrilled and excited and nervous!
It's happening fast now.

I couldn't do anything for school or my classroom over the weekend because I needed to get fingerprinted and TB test and all the paperwork and mandated stuff. (My brain was everywhere!)
SO... I caught up with my shop. I cleaned house. Planned for my daughter's birthday (today). We got manicures and pedicures. (EEEK! We were such girls! Hadn't done that with them since they went to prom in high school... almost 8 years ago? Wow. How time flies. And prices really went up.) But, it was a lot of fun and a nice way to celebrate for me, too. That was just a bonus, though. >>> She had to work on her actual birthday, today, but we celebrated a little each day. Today, she opted for one of our favorite pizza places, her favorite ice cream and a pumpkin pie, and then, my son had a Spooktacular Music Concert... (he had flag football practice earlier, too) so, we went and watched/heard him perform. He was wonderful... and we returned to eat dessert and my girl opened presents. Everyone is now sleeping, exhausted.

Monday, I did all that stuff I had to do for the district. And I went by the school and was a visitor in my classroom. It's a big room. It's an amazing staff, those I have met.
And today, this afternoon, they said I am cleared! EEK! I start tomorrow, Wednesday. Boom. Boom. I get a couple of days to "set up my classroom" and I will teach the kids in their current rooms, to get them used to me. And then, Monday, I have my own kids in my own room. Weeeeeee!

I want to say thank you thank you thank you to you all for your love and support and prayers and good wishes! Thank you, Kat and Leslie and Sandy and Dianna and Ruth! Thanks to all those I am not singling out, too. I am so happy! I am hyper and can't sleep. I know I will be exhausted soon. I am just enjoying each day and doing what I can when I can. One day at a time.

OH JULS!!! THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS!!! I literally just got up from my chair and cheered, then yelled down to my husband, "Juls got the job!" LOL I am doing the happy dance for you. Whew! How relieved you must feel!

Happy Birthday to your daughter, sounds like you all had a wonderful weekend....and darn tootin' you deserved to celebrate with a good pampering!!! I am so happy for you, my friend.
