This is a designated chat room for all of us game room groupies! A great place to hang out, ask questions or just get to know each other. A great big thanks to Jane and Elizabeth for getting our games back running again. XOXOXO
Enjoy!

In another one of our threads, I think Cheryl had some advice about that. I’ll see if I can find it.
Also, about the orange triangles: They show up for 2 different reasons.
One is if I have pinned the thread to the top, like an announcement that I want to be sure everybody sees.
The other one that has a check mark is because somebody clicked on the Accept As Solution button. I worry that Lithium might close the thread if it’s marked as having a solution, so I think I’ll see if I have the option to unclick that.
As for notifications....
If you click on your icon in the top right and scroll down to My Subscriptions, there is a "notifications setting" where you can select the notifications you want (or don't want) to receive.
As Jane stated, the orange triangles don't appear by any action on your own part. It is because someone click the accept as solution box. I hate that box and wish it would go away! LOL
I somewhat know (not with all though). Click Profile (your Avatar, top Right) > Subscriptions > Notifications .
Check the ones you want to see. I definitely want to see if someone @(my name); so it doesn't look like I rudely ignored their post. But I unchecked some and it seems that I Un-Subscribed to the Etsy Newsletter (I cannot figure out what I did. I can Subscribe to it, but then the extreme amount of Pop Ups will come back. I still am getting them, but is seems like they've lessened).
The Check Marks at the top Right of a post is when you feel someone provided a solution. You click the down Arrow (I believe, if you are the OP; or Admin in the case of Bugs Forums). And it will show that a solution was provided for the OP. The solution will be highlighted with a pink background.
Hope this helps.
I was wondering about those orange triangles too and the check marks. :) And, does anyone miss the way in the old forums Etsy would post the shop owner's name from their profile and not just the shop name when they were posting in the forums or in a team? My name is Christine, BTW. :)
I agree about the absence of names. Why are they not given the way they used to be?
I’m Jane . . . .
Before the transfer, a moderator confirmed that a thread would not be closed if it had been marked with a solution accepted. It’s also possible to mark solution accepted more than once. I see the same moderators here as before, so this would have to mean a policy change if they started closing such threads.
That’s good to know. Then I don’t have to worry about it. :)
Hello Jane. Nice to meet you!
I learnt about divinity candy when Jane mentioned it in the Christmas thread. I would like to try making it and have found two recipes. One says to avoid making it on days when the humidity is high. Is it tricky to make? Any other tips? Thanks.
Yes, humidity does affect it, because you’re whipping all those egg whites. Divinity is a cold weather treat, maybe because of the level of humidity, so in this area, it’s usually for Christmas. My grandma made it just using a fork to beat the whites. I, alas, merely used a small electric mixer. :)
@OpenVintagePreserve Your grandma had strong wrists! I will leave off trying till winter, thanks Jane.
I guess I'm getting used to freezing. It's 18 degrees and I just had to run out on my porch. I only had on a zip up hoodie and it didn't feel all that cold to me!?!?! Don't get me wrong, I still hate it.
It's been freezing here too. Yesterday it was minus 1 or 3 (I forget which). Today is better; I think the temp said 3 degrees.
Re: our Names. I agree. And I'm Cheryl; others have called me Chill :) Whatever you prefer.
Nice to meet you, Christine!
EDA: I tried to Nest above under you, and it didn't work. I've suddenly learned how to Nest (or so I thought)
And I do agree with you about the names.
Past couple of days, Wisconsin, wind chill has been 30 - 50 below zero.
Today, it's 18 degrees and my truck started since I haven't used it for several days.
Quick shop and cats have "toilet paper" and I have food. YEAH!
Can't even imagine living in such extreme cold weather, yikes. sending warm breezes to anyone that needs them !
I think about homeless people. In the paper, they said volunteers were going into the woods and in places they knew the homeless were. And bringing them into shelters. Can't even fathom.
On Thursday it was -32 and I was outside wrapped up like an eskimo; today (just two days later) it is a balmy 59F and I could go out in a sweater!
I miss the old forum where I could see posters' avatars down on the left hand side, it was much easer I agree :)
How is everyone this morning? I'm procrastinating. It's so ugly out and I could really use this day to get some organizing done. I need a butt push. LOL
Today we got a warm up, but yesterday iced roads (not as bad as they said).
Winds are picking up and there is a wind advisory for tomorrow. Snow coming Sunday.
Hi All,
This is a concerning thing going on today on Etsy, that I think everyone should be aware of, and have an eye on their bank accounts. There were some (false) charges to many Etsy sellers made today in very high amounts- in some cases in the high hundreds, and some, in the thousands.
A quote from one seller: My bank just cancelled my card bc Etsy tried to take over $5000 this morning.
Here is the thread to read through. I can't even comment, so blabbergasted! 18 pages long just from today so far...
Just thought you all should be aware of this!
thankyou so much for posting, i'm not in the forums much anymore, this is certainly alarming.
The best advice I've seen in this thread is to open an Etsy specific account with its own debit card and overdraft protection. The thread is over 30 pages now, and seems to be continuing to happen, with little Etsy response. Ugh!
@ElizabethRosenArt Good grief! I'm so sorry, Elizabeth; for you and for everyone this happened to.
Yesterday I came into the Forum just to look at Announcements (the usualy keep abreast of things). And saw the thread you posted above (commented in it a couple times as well). I'm very concerned; never should have happened.
