Labelling for hats!

I currently have an FTC and CPSIA label on my hats (they are either 100% cotton or an acrylic/wool). I just read on another topic that CPSIA labels are not required on items worn on the head unless they include wool. Is this correct?

If so, my 100% cotton hats would only require FTC labelling?

Re: Labelling for hats!

I should add that my hats are for children, if that makes a difference.

Re: Labelling for hats!

Wrong. You kinda have it backwards.

CPSIA labels are required on all items for children 12 and under.

Hats do not require FTC labels, unless they contain Wool, then FTC Wool labeling takes over.
