NAM sends letter to CPSC requesting extension of Stay

The National Association of Manucturers (along with several other groups) sent a letter to CPSC yesterday, requesting a one year extension of the stay:

This law is a prime example of how laws are ill written without thought to how they will be implemented, and at what cost to business.

I was under the impression that when a law was written, that all the ramifications, the actual how is this going to be done by the persons it affects, and what is it going to do to business, consumers, and what is it going to cost.

I was stupid!!!! Spending the last 2 1/2 years trying to figure this law out has opened my eyes to the total ineptness of our elected officials.

If they can screw up the children's product community this much with a 67 page law, just think how really, really bad the 2700 page laws are.
