Label requirements

I also am a fairly new seller and just found your site today. I am so grateful for the tons of information I have been able to find on these threads. I realized that my current labels meet the FTC requirements, but not all the cpsia requirements (mainly the manufacturing information). I use a hang tag type label. Can I print the FTC requirements on the front of the label and the cpsia requirements on the back of the label or am I required to use two separate labels?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Label requirements

Marcelle,

Hangtags work with some products and not others. If the item is too small (jewelry, hairbows, bowties) then a CPSIA info hangtag can be used. If there is room for a sewn in tag. then you must use a permanently attached tag. FTC care tags are also permanent. Fiber content and origin tags may or may not be neccessary depending on what the item is. Some are required, and some are not. And some if you mention the fiber content in your advertising then you have to tag. That's why I suggest printing out the FTC labeling laws and using a highlighter, go line by line and highlight your products on both of the FTC laws. FTC can be very confusing.
