Labeling items

Trying to make my way through all the rules :)
When making children's items, it appears there needs to be 2 different labels- can the info be printed on a paper tag and not on the item itself? Or, no?

Thanks, and sorry if I missed the answer already somewhere.

Re: Labeling items

Amber what do you make? That determines exactly how you must label.

Re: Labeling items

I make children's clothing and things like burp cloths, bibs, etc...and then toys for children like the felt TTT boards, finger puppets, etc. After spending the weekend looking around and trying to decide the best way to do this, I am searching for what needs to be on the FTC label, and if I can fit it on one label. I mean, I don't need care instructions for the toys, do I? That would mean a ton of different labels- one for each different item.... :/

Re: Labeling items

No, you don't need care items for the toys. You just need content and country of origin. Are you using wool felt? I think I would make a set of CPSIA labels with all your CPSIA info and instead of mine where I say made on the USA of imported fabrics, I'd say made of 100% wool from (country ).

Re: Labeling items

nope, just eco felt, which is polyester. So it's CPSIA requirements that need me to label the material, and not FTC? and if I have fabric on said toys but it's less than 15% then I don't need to label those separately, right?

Re: Labeling items

Clothing you need both, bibs you need both. Toys you only need CPSIA.
