I haven't read all the forum threads on the CPSIA new law that will go into effect in February, but the ones I have read have made my heart sink! I'm not affected by this law, but I very much love handmade children's items and I myself have 3 little kiddos.

If you're a shop/seller that will be affected by this new law and you are scrambling to unload your inventory before the February deadline, please POST HERE in this thread so we can compile a long list of sellers.....this way I can shop, shop, shop in your shops and others here on Etsy who want to help but don't know how can also know who to buy from. This is my small way of helping by supporting you all from a buyers standpoint and also come alongside you from a fellow seller's standpoint. I love to buy children's gifts for lots of friends who have baby showers and I also love unique items for my own kids too. Please post your shop so we can support you!

So let's get some support going for you (and encouragement too) and hopefully you can make some sales during this very difficult time.

Thanks for starting this post, there are some amazing things out there for kids! Far better than anything bought in a store!
I just started making toddler clothes before I found out about this law. Once I got over my outrage and wrote my congress people and signed petitions, I decided to live the next month as if it is not coming and introduce my clothes anyway. And stock up on handmade goodies for kids!

my shop has alot of items for kids I will be greatly dissapointed when I have to give them up.

I guess I could get away with stating that there for adults and then when you buy you could do whatever you wanted with them.

The CPSC has already started to exempt certain items. It seems that they've started to realize the error in their ways. People need to relax the sky is not falling.

Me, I'm affected too, I sell baby bibs, among other items, in my shop. Mine are double sided and close with velcro, so easy-on easy-off for safety and comfort. If this doesn't get ironed out soon, I'll be no longer making baby and toddler bibs.

I've already given away most of my bears, but I still have a few of them and other children's toy items left. These will all have to be removed on February 10 if changes aren't made to the upcoming law that will allow that materials that I work with. I'll also have to change my banner and avatar since neither will reflect my shop after that date.
