Welcome to our new Teams Page on Etsy. I hope that you will find this transition useful. We are excited about this new tool as well as you are.

Our main teams site will remain http://www.designstyleguide.net of course, but we will utilize all tools through here to make us more visible to Etsy Buyers here.

Klaire, these forums do not show up on the Etsy forum sections. They do show up under "Topics you've posted on". We may want to have a promotion forum going on in addition to this chat forum. We do that in another team and it seems to help. Also we get other folks posting there, which means they're seeing our thread.

I sold a few spatulas today,but I'm still working on setting up the new STUDIO (wood shop to those who don't know me). My major replacement sander was somehow mixed up in transit and I received a very nice, very expensive video gaming seat instead of an even nicer and more expensive 48" belt sander. Great, just what I needed. lol
Once I start running out of stock my shop is going to start looking pretty sad.
So much for all the new items I have on the drawing board.
For all those here that were not following the old thread, my wood shop was hit by burglars two weeks ago to the tune of $10,000 worth of tools. Most will be covered by insurance, but it will take weeks to buy and set up that many tools. Plus, as long as I have to replace most everthing, I'm changing where tools are placed, and stored so hopefully I'll end up with a more efficient shop. So I'm not able to make any new wood products for the next month or two.

Jill is right - I checked.

I did put the link to our team (and my other teams) in my Shop Announcement, so those interested can find it -- and our discussions, website and blog!!

But if we want to promote in the etsy forums, we would need to have an official thread under the Promotions section.

Question is -- do we want to have to post in another place??

I don't know if I would mind -- when I have a new item listed, I tend to post it in various places on the Internet anyway.

But I am not sure how the rest of you feel.

Tim - glad to hear that you are getting in your replacement tools. Hope you have enough made items in stock for holiday purchasers!!! Of course, you could put in Gift Certificates or something for when you have your shop set up and can make more! Just an idea!

I remember the little ones from kits I use to do as a kid -- and I can just imagine all the work it took to make this!!

Ok - Klaire - sometime today I'll start a Promotions thread for Design Style Guide. As it will be in Promotions, we may get all kinds of interaction with other sellers (not Design Style Guide) and potential customers - and we can't moderate those threads. Just thought I would mention it! I'll check it periodically, but don't be alarmed at any other people's comments in it - LOL!!

I am also going to start doing 2 interviews a month for the http://www.designstyleguide.net/community blog. I've been emailing with Kristina about doing it. So, don't be surprised if you get a convo from me on etsy asking if you are willing to be interviewed!!

Painting a garage door---that's sort of a break from routine. I like to get my hands into something different , too. Like planting gardens, or tending my orchids.

Annie, do you ever do coats for larger dogs? We have a 70 lb. and 95 lb. doberman and I don't think your large would fit but have thought about getting a "sweater" for them.

Willow - Yes I make dog coats for any size dog. My lab is 80 pounds and he wore one when we lived back East and it was cold. I will convo you later and let you know what information I need.

Been shopping today. Got a turkey - I like turkey all year round and eat it in different forms all year round, but this time I got a whole one.

Pretty set for this month - have a Custom Order (Red Gingham Check potholders) -- and some other seasonal things to get done!! Will be really concentrating on getting things made!

Was reading up on SEO keywords tonight. Didn't realize it until I just read it -- 2 or 3 word keyword phrases work the best. Used Google's keyword tool to check the current trends for what I make and downloaded them. Interesting -- have to really take some time and look at them. It may also influence what type of fiber items I make!!

Well into a busy work week. Friday will be a day to work at home, then my show/sale on Saturday. Unfortunately there will not be wall space available so I an working on figuring out some display method for my wall hangings... a challenge!
