Questions about Locations:

Q. Are the US and Canada the only options for store location?

A. No, we have customers from all over the world, in a variety of countries.

Only those countries that have been enabled on your site appear as options in the country pulldown. You can enable your country, and as many others as you like, from the store settings page in your dashboard.

Brilliant! I just got started with IndieMade today and will be up and running soon. Please let me know your social media details here and I'll follow.

I'd like to use my own URL www.ModernBling.net instead of the www.ModernBling.indiemade.com site and will work on it this evening.

I've heard that having an IndieMade site helps to drive traffic to your Etsy site, which I really hope is the case. So far, most of my site traffic comes from Twitter and LinkedIn. I haven't done any blogging so far. I just don't have the time at the mo; I have 3 kids under the age of six and just have time for keeping on top of these ones:
Twitter www.twitter.com/#/ModernBling
LinkedIn - Angela Richmond-Fuller
FB www.facebook.com/ModernBling
Google +
and my FAV Pinterest www.Pinterest.com/ModernBling

Does anyone have advice on who've you've found best for hosting a blog? Wordpess

I have a question, if we are uploading our listings from etsy what about duplicate content? I keep hearing that your listings from one site to the next need to be 70% different from each other which is really hard to do! Does anyone know if that is actually true because with 118 listings to load into indiemade that's a lot of brainstorming! It sure would be easier just to copy and paste! : ) But it is a question I have wondered about for other places I sell and to be safe I always keep the content different but it gets harder and harder each time to come up with a new way of saying the same thing.

70% is way to high.... changing your titles around and your first few sentences in your description will be fine.

I just posted a bit about duplicate content here: http://www.etsy.com/teams/12138/indiemade/discuss/10023808/

Tim! You are brilliant - and super fast at replying with 100% relevant info.
Thanks. I've made a start to my page at www.modernbling.indiemade.com and it's been a breeze so far. My 3 kids are in bed now (over here in the UK - no, I didn't put them to bed in the middle of the day;-) Now I can get cracking on reading those PDF files you sent me earlier.

Stupid question here... On payments section of the websites it says that a customer can pay using a credit card. Is this using paypal or should we have a way to take credit cards?
I'm getting my website together and its mostly getting use to the way it works then its very simple. So far I like it.

Hi there, I'm trying to use my webname www.ModernBling.net rather than my www.ModernBling.indiemade.com but I can't find where to make the change. Any advice is more than welcome.

Whew...getting there! So far I really like Indiemade! They did a great job of copying my Etsy info. over to the site. I'm still working on layout, colors, categories, etc.

Is there a way to keep our stores private until they are completely setup?

Not really Maria... just keep it quite... and you will be fine. It will take Google a week or so to start indexing your shop... without any promoting on social media sites.

Love love love that they have a way for people to "pick up" PDF files they've purchased! Yeah! I really enjoy chatting with my buyers here and definately plan to continue my Etsy store but if my business continues to grow it will get quite labor intensive - great platform so far!

I just have to say how awesome this is. I have been paying for a Big Cartel page for almost a year now and have not been able to get it running because of this:

1) I needed a contact page where people could put pictures of their hair for me to color match. I have to pay someone to set this up for me and I have been on a waiting list for 8 months.

2) I needed a color chart- a large color chart- for people to refer to before purchasing. I have to pay someone to set this up for me and I have been on a waiting list for 8 months.

Bye bye big cartel.

This is awesome. I have already made both pages myself. Check it out!

Beth- I have added a link to my "contact" form. What you do is click on the "contact" button at the bottom of your page and copy / paste the link.

Then make a page with the title "Wholesale" and put the info you want in it. Then you can make a link on the page saying "contact" and then there is a little icon of a world with a chain on it ... click on it and paste the link to your contact form in the box that pops up. You can see how I link to my "contact" form from my "color chart" page... The link says "contact Tressa the Hairdressa." You can see it here:
