Drinking while crafting your Swag?

Anyone else like to crack one while working on their stuff? Our go-to beers are Three Floyds Gumballhead and Lift Bridge Farm Girl Saison. Both low enough ABV that one or two doesn't get in the way of a quality product ;-D What are you drinking while you work?

Re: Drinking while crafting your Swag?

What other way is there to work! I usually use watered down coffee to simulate beer when photographing glasses for my shop. But when listing (or blogging or crafting or anything else that requires creative thinking), I have a beer. Usually Belgian. Mostly lambics or quads, but I'm loving the new Rodenbach Charactere Rouge.

I should also mention the danger in listing with beer in hand.

I once listed a white vase with the title "shite vase." Didn't even see the typo until much, much later when I noticed a lot of click thrus from regretsy. Oops. At least it was funny.

While we don't operate power tools and booze at the same time. We do like to cool down after a long day with a good IPA or craft brew.

Sometimes when I need extra colorful cans, then yes I do. When I need a mirror with all Stag cans....NOOOO.

Re: Drinking while crafting your Swag?

Considering I use the beer in my soaps, I have to make sure it's safe - plus, my homebrew kegerator is right next to my work station. ^.~

Haha - sometimes we can get away with empties as "props" in pics for size perspective. Kinda like this:

I always have a brew in glass when crafting my tees. Love a good IPA or Imperial Red, but I've really been into kolsch-styles this summer.

Re: Drinking while crafting your Swag?

@ Joe - Have you ever had a Shipyard Pumpkinhead from Shipyard Brewing in Portland, ME - We were lucky enough to live directly across from the brewery a few years ago and fell in love with this seasonal.
Now living in TX, we've had to track it down via Central Market!

Reading through some of the posts here, I keep thinking that our ultimate goal is to create a small business that is self-sufficient enough to allow both me and my wife to stay home and craft. And have the freedom to drink a beer when the urge hits!

We love our Arrogant Bastard by Stone around here, too. Sadly, these bottles are tough as hell to cut. Cheers!

Re: Drinking while crafting your Swag?

Most of the time I wait till I am done working to have a brew or two. But I always have a good selection of my homebrew on hand. On tap now is a red rye. I also have kegs of brown ale, cascadian ale, and a cream ale waiting thier turn. I also have a pumpkin ale in my fermenter right now that should be ready in 3 weeks.
