TweetDeck - How to use it for Your Twitter and the Team

TweetDeck is a app for Twitter that helps us to work together on Twitter as a Team.

It is a twitter dashboard interface that lets you send and receive Tweets and view Twitter profiles. Plus, you can easily schedule tweets to post to your twitter throughout the day!

Via Tweetdeck you can get a broad view of what’s happening on twitter. Once you've signed up here are some suggested columns to add:

1. Your timeline – what your followers are tweeting
2. Your @mentions – who’s talking to or about you
3. Your Interactions – who’s retweeting you
4. Your Tweets
5. #etsymnt team tweets
6. @etsymeetntweet – tweets from the team’s twitter
7. Etsymeetntweet’s timeline – all team member tweets

Hi Clarissa,

I was able to follow the instructions until # 5, 6 and 7. I'm afraid I am a newbie to the social network world. Fumbling my way on FB, Pinterest and Twitter.....

Do you have time to tell me how to do the final steps? Yes, I do have tweetceck installed...so if I understand correctly, I no longer need to us the other twitter page I was using but can communicate with Tweetdeck instead?

I could not figure out how to add the team's timeline to tweetdeck? I figured out the other questions.

Hi Joanna! :)

To add the Team's timeline...do a search...search window can be found top of the left hand vertical menu just below the blue box "new tweet" just pop in @etsymeetntweet.

When you see the search results showing our icon...just click our name and it should open up a pop up box with the team's profile.

from there click "Timeline" --you'll see tweets, mentions, list--Timeline

repeats these steps and click "tweets" for item #6

Oh and to answer your other question...yes you can pretty much just use tweetdeck although i do still use regular twitter when i just want to pop in and see just my account.

Ok... everything works except the email to roundteam... not sure what I am doing wrong - it keeps coming back as undeliverable. ?

That was my mistake! their email is roundteam@roundteam.co - not .com :o/
