TeamSocial Retweet Test Update

Hi Team,

Following is info and instructions for everyone participating in the testing of the TeamSocial retweeting App. 22 members signed up to test however including members already signed up for the app we are a total of 33.

For the Test we will need to do the following:

1. SCHEDULE OUR RECURRING #ETSYMNTT TWEETS - 5 PER DAY
Let each set up 6 tweets w/ our hashtag. If you need a way to AUTO-TWEET sign up for http://etsysocial.com/. If you have a subscription that expired let me know and I will renew it.

6 x 33 = 198 retweets each per day
in our twitter account, i'm thinking that will look like each of us posting 8 team retweets per hour

2. SIGN UP FOR TEAMSOCIAL - http://teamsocial.me/
Log into your twitter account that you use for the Team. Then follow the http://teamsocial.me/ link. Their system will recognize you as being part of our Team. Let me know if you have any problems getting set up.

3. TEAMSOCIAL 1 WEEK FREE TRIAL
Once we are all signed up that the TeamSocial site I will be in communication with Danial, the developer to establish that we all have a 1 week free trial active.

4. IF YOU ARE ON OTHER TEAMS
If you are already signed up with the app and retweeting with another, you will not be able to retweet with the team using TeamSocial :( The app is currently not set up to allow for multiple teams...not yet.

I figured out why I couldn't delete my unpublished, garbage photos on my Instagram account. They are only on (in my case) my Amazon tablet and must be deleted from there ... with the "camera" option .... just in case anyone else is struggling with this problem.

I had to have my 11 year old Grandaughter help me with mine! LOL
we are still working at it ~ Everyones posts including my own kept going to my Family account. I got it straightened out though LOL I felt Stupid for Not realizing the problem on my own! UGH!!! I wish I was a child, teenager,even a young adult ~ the way they catch on to these computer things and navigate them so easily.
I'm just gping to Breathe and Keep moving forward! and I hope I am doing this all correctly!!!!! If I am Not someone Please tell me!

WB Karen ... Bonnie it sounds like you have something connected to instagram that is posting your pics, though I may be wrong. I think you can only delete pics from instagram on your phone not on the computer. If you use instagram on your computer, you can only heart and post a comment and follow, don't think you can fuss with pics in anyway on computer, only on phone. Hope this helps. I only see three of use using EmnttM ... anyone still participating?

I use EmnttM on a few of my listings per day - I try to tweet as many of our group as I can . Every little bit Helps!!!!

I was on Tweetdeck on Thursday and retweeted a bunch of you; I only used the #emttM on one of my tweets ... which was fine. I am very busy with dance right now. Didn't even get on the computer on Friday at all, nor today, Saturday, except for right now and it's 2 a.m. I will probably do a bit of tweeting tomorrow, Sunday. Also, I am getting ready for the Colored Pencil Society of America International Convention that starts (for me) this Thursday in Wash. D.C. I'm busy getting ready for that and will be taking an all-day seminar on landscape painting from a very well respected artist. Therefore, I won't be doing much on TweetDeck in this upcoming week. I will be away from home Thursday through Sunday of the upcoming week.

As far as Instagram is concerned, photos can be deleted from Instagram ONCE they are shared. The garbage ones, that were just taken from/on my tablet but unshared, I have discovered are ONLY on the tablet thus far, because of being unshared/posted, and therefore have to be deleted from there, the tablet. As far as Instagram is concerned, at that point (being unshared) they don't even exist. Instagram has no knowledge of them.

I'm still using both #etsymntt and #emnttM not all day long just a few times a day. but I think we are just going g round in circles with our very small group. No sales for the past 30 days. I also post in IG using #mnttoi but in spite of lots of lovely likes from IG friends no visits appear on Etsy so I think we are just not reaching the public in these ways. Any ideas? I do realise that as a card seller there is loads of competition on Etsy and it's a quiet time of year. I'm away this from Wednesday till Monday so will be quiet on Twitter too.

Jan, it has been just as slow for me in terms of sales. I signed up for TeamSocial through another team a month age so I am seeing visits for the last 3+ weeks but no sales.

P.S. I was on TweetDeck and retweeted all that I saw in the emnttM column an hour or so ago. Just issued a new listing ... will go back on again now and retweet all that I see.

I just tweeted on TweetDeck a bunch of y'all's listings with #etsymntt. Our sales had been really steady up until last week. I wonder if everyone is taking one last vacation before school starts up . . .?

I think we may have a problem. I spent considerable time in the wee hours retweeting Etsymntt and EmnttM. I went back five days. My shop is not being retweeted. I know something is happening because I get a twitter notification report every day.

Alice - your shop didn't show up for retweeting I had to search for your shop on Tweetdeck and then only found three listings for retweeting.

I am only seeing two members using EmnttM and I have retweeted them daily ... more than two each. I am unsure if anyone is using this hashtag anymore. I have not used it in two days but previous I post two a day so I retweet 4 all I see is LM and sometimes Karen Donato but not seeing anyone else .... Maybe we should start a new sign up so we know who is actually using this hashtag. I will post two now ... saturday, please let me know if anyone can see these?

As I mentioned here this past week, I am out-of-town at a convention (left this past Thursday). I absolutely did retweet quite a few of you and only posted one tweet of my own with the #emnttM hashtag. I should be able to tweet sometime on Sunday. With my schedule and lifestyle, I cannot retweet manually every day, but I try to do it a few days out of the week. I retweeted you, Patrice, and Swirling Orange at least one day this past week, and Crafty Schmantzy, and Karen Donato, and LM ... just to name a few. As I said, I didn't even both posting my own because I simply didn't have time.

I took the #emnttM hashtag off of my TwitterFu automatic tweets because, of course, they aren't physically generated by me. I realize that I have to be ON Tweetdeck myself, manually retweeting two, before I can post a tweet of my own. I takes me a bit of time to do my own tweets complete with a photo, so I end up sometimes just retweeting others, not bothering with myself. It's been very hectic for me of late.

OK ... It's now 6:55 p.m. East Coast time. I've spent way over an hour (which is why I don't seem to do this more often) on Tweetdeck, retweeting you and constructing my own tweets. I mostly concentrated on the #emnttM column today, retweeting mostly that hashtag, but did retweet a few #etsymntt, especially those that retweeted me. From the #emnttM column today I retweeded (and some of you 2 or 3 times: Janet Purves, Crafty Schmantzy, JKC Murano, Della Walsh, Karen Donato, LM Creations, Swirling OVintage, and Erica Allmon. That is who was in that hashtag column today, and none others. No one is retweeting my #emnttM posts today, but that is understandable, it's Sunday ... you're all out playing ... as you should be. PLEASE retweet my posted #emnttM tweets of today, as I am absolutely "dead in the water" ... but too busy to worry too much about it ... and I just spent a bit over $100 on Pan Pastels. I am so excited to receive them. I discovered them and tried them out at the art convention that I attended this weekend in Washington, D.C.

BTW ... Daniel of TwitterFu pointed this out to me. When we generate new a listing, Etsy now prints out the URL in such a way that it not only brings up our item, but similar items ... with prices and photos ... from our competitors! ... Yes! ... that will show up at the top of the screen along with our listing BELOW them! He says that this has angered many sellers who felt their promotion efforts were being hijacked. "YES"! I guess I wasn't paying attention; I had no clue. When I was generating new tweets today on TweetDeck, I would go to one of my listings, copy and paste it below my tweet, along with a photo. Low and behold, after posting the tweet, I clicked on my abbreviated URL AND it took me to my listing ... PLUS A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE'S similar products above the product that I am tryng to sell. ARE YOU ALL AWARE OF THIS? I had NO CLUE! However, Daniel informs me that Etsy has provided a workaround to opt out and link to our items without other recommendations. The technique boils down to inserting the name of your shop in the URL. Here is an example:
https://www.etsy.com/BonnieLouLane/listing/12345689/(and often the title of the work is here). Daniel says that ALL of the retweets that TwitterFu generates has the shop's identity name inserted in it. He says: "We've got your back". SO! When you are manually tweeting your product, if you go to your shop page and copy and paste the existing URL for the item that you are going to be tweeting (which is what I have been doing) MAKE SURE when you are pasting your URL into your new tweet that you are generating ... MAKE SURE that you INSERT your identity name using the example that I posted above. This is JAW DROPPING! I tried it both ways, and Daniel is absolutely correct. If you don't insert your shop name in the URL, people clicking on your manually generated tweet will not only see your merchandise, but also a bunch of tweets with photos from your competition. Maybe you all know this, but I sure didn't.

Bonnie, I've been looking everywhere on #emnttM on Tweetdeck for your tweets and couldn't find them. So I went to your twitter account and retweeted your tweets from there. None of them seem to have the #emnttM hashtag on them?

Thank you, Jan. I was so busy getting ready for an art convention last week that I wasn't on TweetDeck once ... until yesterday (Sunday). I have some on TweetDeck now (as of yesterday) with the #emnttM hastag ... plus I put a few more on just now, and did some retweeting of what I saw of you all in my #emnttM column. Actually, there are only about 4 or 5 of us that I see regularly in the #emnttM column, and it often isn't me. I hope to settle my schedule a bit more now and be a bit more present.

Actually, I don't know if all this is doing much good. I was on TweetDeck for several hours yesterday, with the results of TWO visits. Way back when we were being retweeted by RoundTree or whatever it was called, I would have 800 to 1000 views a day ... and I sold on a fairly regular basis. Fortunately, I will be in an art exhibit in October where I have quite a fair history of selling ... but the shop ... Ugh! Ah, the life of an artist ... huh Jan!!! :) Not the best! .... and, by the way ... I did see just a few minutes ago where you retweeted me. Thank you so much! Big Hug!

Hi Bonnie,

I want to respond to couple of things you posted. Earlier you said: "BTW ... Daniel of TwitterFu pointed this out to me. " This was true for a few weeks. Etsy was "testng" some ideas and has now backed down. So your competitors no longer show up when you click on the link to your item. That Etsy test was very unpopular with shop owners.

Also want to respond to your most recent post. Back in the day we used to get lots of VIEWS. This stat counted bots and if your listing showed up in a search but was clicked on by a customer. Now Etsy is counting VISITS which is potential customers who actually land on our listing and stay in your shop (according to some sources) at least a minute. So comparing numbers then to numbers now is like comparing is not useful.

What is useful for sure is counting sales. If your sales are down unfortunately you are not alone.

Wow! Yikes! 😬I'm way behind. I have been swamped with family matters, so have been doing only the necessities. I have no clue what is the status of our retweet app. I have not used the new tag I see mentioned. I am not hooked up with Twitterfu. Can someone please update me? Thank you🤓
