Is this for really you think?

it's from Jean-Christophe Knoepfel's

Dear Supplier I do not see any phone number of suppliers to call them directly....

Would you be interested to sell your products via my
e-commerce shop ?

Would you be interested to get access to my customers ?

Would you be interested to increase your worldwide audience ?

Would you be interested to make more profit ?

Would you be interersted to create with me a new collection ?

Process would be:

- you get my orders of my customers via excel file
- you send the orders via my logistics provider and you
complete for each dispatch with new packaging tracking
number and return file completed to me via email
- bank guarantee account permanently filled with 1’000€ to secure
smooth treasury issues for supplier
- payment occurs immediately against packaging tracking
number to you on your bank account
- to avoid endless discussions due to quality with
customers you make 2 pictures (good resolution) back and
front of the product with integrated date of picture no later
than same day you ship the products, including date of
production and lot number
- what would be the interest for me to be unfair to you ? None
if I want to increase also my profit I need your collaboration
and you the same, so trust must be established.

We can Skype if you are still interested:

jc.knoepfel60

Let me know your time to discuss in CET Time

Best regards
JC

Re: Is this for really you think?

Hi Michelle!

To me it reads like a scam using some common scam language like "bank guarantee"

Plus if this person was for real i doubt this would be their approach or even how they really do things.

I say scam. Report them to Etsy.

Re: Is this for really you think?

The act that he refers to you as "supplier" is a red flag. Anyone legit who was interested in doing business would take the effort to learn your name. It's not hard to find. Our names are right there in the sidebar of our shops.

I agree with Clarissa. Scam. Report them.

Re: Is this for really you think?

@Rachel! Good point about not even customizing the letter with a name! SMH

Michelle, per Etsy, report it from the Convo page with the Report Spam link at the top of your inbox. This will move the message to your Spam folder and sends a copy of the message to a queue which is reviewed by Etsy Admin daily.

Here's is the link to Etsy help on Suspicious Convo's for us all to familiarize ourselves with: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/336

They suggest that we don't respond as engaging them will encourage them and lead to more convos!

Thanks for bringing this to the Team.
