What do you do? and why do you do it?

Here's what I came up with ...

I make bracelets using hemp, beads and other things I’m always on the lookout for. You’d think hemp would be rough and scratchy to wear, but the kind of hemp I use isn’t that way at all.

Why do I do it? I work at a very stressful job during the day. Making bracelets is a really good way for me to shake off that stress, and relax. I’ve never thought of myself as a creative person, but I search Etsy for focal pieces for my bracelets and my imagination just goes wild. I love combining the focal pieces I find with different colors of hemp and beads.

Hi Christy! Very good! Sure made me wonder...like what???...it would be reflex for me to click on your shop link and to check you out.

However, i would have been all set to see bracelets first thing and would feel a little confused seeing the just the hemp cord.

So I'm thinking maybe you should include some wording about being a supplier

maybe in the first sentence....I supply hemp cord and I make bracelets...

and then maybe include one of your bracelets in with your featured items?

Very good point, Clarissa! I think we need to prepare our shops to reflect what we are saying. I will put a couple of my bracelets in my favorites.

I didn't say that I supply hemp cord because I thought it was self promoting. But if you think it's okay, I will do that :)

I think it's good to rep supplies...suppliers are feeling very under acknowledged on etsy...plus i think it subtle enough!...sheesh! :D

After 30+plus years of marriage, my husband's passion for woodworking became mine. I am not creative and I do not feel comfortable operating woodworking equipment. I wanted to work side-by-side with my husband in the shop. The solution ultimately became working with a computer CAD 3D program to create and design wood carved wall hangings of nature scenes, wildlife and animals, wood carved clocks, plaques, sculptures, picture frames, rustic home decor, wood signs, take custom orders & more.

I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would be able to create such lovely pieces and have so much fun at the same time! My husband is a great teacher and I am like a sponge learning new things every day that I use to develop new items for the shop.

I went from an office worker to owning my own business. I invite you to see the transformation!

Hi Team I though that went well today...a good start! We got our feet in the water!

I'm thinking maybe i should post again later in the week to be more impactful rather than waiting a week.

Perhaps I'll post a new question tomorrow for Thursday.
