What are your average views per day?

Hi everyone!!

I'm checking my shop stats all the time!! It's become a bit of an obsession....

I've noticed that the views have been steadily climbing, which is good, but I'm wondering - what are the average daily views that shops get? What should I be striving for?

I'd love to know what you all have to say!

My views depends so much of my promotion! Anyways, slow days are around 75, while busy days can be upwards of 300. The ironic part is that my days with the most sales, have been slow view days. There doesn't seem to be a correlation for me.

I average between 65-100 and have 80 items listed. But I had a day not long ago with only 40 views total and sold 2 things. I haven't seen a good pattern.

Wow you guys rock!!! mine are on a good day 100 to 250, 0n the weekend 50 to 100, and some days 75. I wish I had the views most of you have. congrats to you all. The most I've had were 500, and that was because I was on the fp.

I usually get 100-180 ish The most I had was only 230 or something though :o( I have 110 items.

I've been checking some of you guys, and it looks to me it DOES have a correlation between the number of items and the number of average daily views.
That's kind of bad, since people who have many listings will have more views and more chances to sell... Still, I guess it is kind of fair :/

Do you think it is fair? Do you think that correlation exists?

@Anna J I think its true the more items you have the more chances you have to sell. I don't think its a bad thing either. Customers like to have options and the more items a shop has the more chances the shop has to sell items.

This week I am averaging around 210 a day, sometimes up to 300/day.

Well, now i am really flumoxed, my daily views were around the forty to fifty mark and i thought from all the responses, this was low. So yesterday, i changed all my product titles to include the item in the first three words, so changed Hand Knitted Striped Elephant toy, to Elephant toy hand knitted etc and spent two hours changing all my headers like this. So, tonight i have checked the stats, and guess what, I have 27 views. I am gutted, now i dont know what to do, should i change them back or let it ride?

Mine were around 70 a day, but lately has dropped to 20-30. I promote, promote, promote all the time so I don't know why they have dropped. Oh well I will just keep working at it. :)

Hi Angela,
I don't have many daily views yet - I'm working on increasing my numbers of items, tagging, promotions - all that good stuff. Since you spent the time changing your titles, I wouldn't worry about going back right away. Maybe you should have a mixture in the way they are titled? That way you can bring people to your shop that search both ways. Another thing that I plan to do is to do some research by looking at the shops of the people on this post who say they get a lot of views and see what I can learn from their tags, pictures, descriptions.

Would you want to do a shop critique of each other's shops to see if we can help each other improve?

@Anna J : I actually had more sales when I had around 90 items in my shop than I get now with over 110. Go figure...

@Angela : my views are very low today, I wonder if there is something going on ?

I certainly see a direct connection between number of items for sale and views/sales. I have 1100 items for sale right now, and I'm sure busier than when I only had a couple hundred items....

The more items you have for sale, the more chances you have of being found in the searches and of course the more options yoru customers have to find something they like.

My views have gone up in direct correlation with the number of items listed but I am like another poster : I have had days where there have been far fewer than average but had more sales. This week has been dead sales wise but kicking views wise. And hearts are WAY WAY down. Dont know what the deal is. MY revenue is up and the orders are coming in so I guess you just drive youself crazy trying to figure out a pattern. There is none.

Angela, don't change your titles again. Wait, some days are low.
For instance check last month or last week's views and compare them to this week since the day you changed them. Then you can decide better :)

I'm getting 10 on slow days and 30 on busier days :-( I could use a boost in views for sure!

When I started I got about 10 views a day, haha. Now I average about 40-50. On a busy day it spikes up to 75-100. But today It's 300 b/c I was on the FP! Woot woot!

We are working hard at getting the view up and we are usually hitting between 600 and 1000, The past couple days have been great, all of them are over 1000. I think my biggest day was over 8000. Getting into etsy emails is a great way to get hits. Although hits do help sales, just because you get hits doesnt mean you will sell your product.

I am definitely addicted to checking stats throughout the day. It's awful. I was getting around 50-100 views per day... but have been around 20-30 the past couple of weeks. =(

I wonder if there's an average for each category? I'm handmade jewelry.

Last month I averaged 126 views/day. 10% were from direct traffic, 2% from google, 80-85% from Etsy and the rest were from other sources. I keep between 140 and 150 items in my shop.

I too am addicted to checking shop stats. I've only been open since Feb 22 this year and thought that I was doing good at averaging about 30-40 views a day. I guess I need to be shooting a little higher. It is great to see that other shops average at, I had no idea what to base my shop off of.

It seems like number of views is directly related to number of items in shop, with some other factors thrown in there, like: 1) use of tags/titles, 2) number of items in the same category, 3) marketing in and out of Etsy, and other factors. Am I right?

Wow, I am amazed at some of the view totals that some shops get. Mine average in the 25-35 range. I will keep working at it! List more! Make More! Tag better! Here I go......
