Very Odd...

I like checking out the profiles of my buyers, and since I had several sales this morning, I was clicking through the profiles. When I tried to get to the profile of one, I got the following message on the error page.

"Sorry, this account needs to be activated. If this is you, please check your email account for an activation email. If you think your account should be active, please email support@etsy.com."

This buyer has already paid and everything, so I'll mail the item tomorrow, but I just found it curious. Did they sign up just to buy this and then delete the account? Has anyone else ever seen this?

I believe something similar to this was posted in "Bugs" last week.

Some thought it was purchased from a prototype "guest checkout" account, but Matt assured everyone that wasn't true.

Don't know if they got to the bottom of why it happened.

Perhaps they did delete the account as they may not want to keep their credit card or PayPal information on file with the site. I think a "guest checkout" is a wonderful idea. I think it would open Etsy to a new audience.

More shoppers, one time or not is a good thing!
