Item disappearing from treasury list?

I was just checking some of my treasuries, and noticed on one of them there is one less item...did someone take it off because they don't want to be featured or do items get removed if they're sold?

If someone doesn't renew their items, they go away... maybe that's it!

Oh...ok. I will just replace it with something else then...drives me nuts when there is an uneven number of columns, lol.

Ooo, maybe that's how I'm in one less treasury! I asked earlier today, people said you can also edit treasuries our even delete them.

Yeah, you CAN edit and delete them! I had to edit a treasury that I made for the Etsykids Team after I realized that one of the items included the etsykids team tag but is not actually a team member. Naughty, naughty! I had to remove their item and replace it with something else. I felt bad but them's the rules!

...Hmm...so that would mean we should update treasuries every few months or so or else it will be a whole lot of nothing eventually? Kind of like refresh the collection a bit?

In my other shop I have treasuries that have only 3 or 4 things left. If I went in to update them all the time it would just take so much time. I eventually delete. If an item sells or expires it will go away. Sometimes they come back when it is relisted, sometimes with different pictures. The new pictures sometimes mess with the color scheme or pattern I had so it gets changed anyway, haha. They can be alot of work!

Genevieve, I don't think it hurts to rework treasuries. I've done that with a few of mine that have gotten really good views. (For me, anything over about 250 is really good.) I tweak the tags while I'm at it so that, hopefully, it stays relevant. If they're more than a few months' old, though, I wouldn't bother. It'll be easier and more relevant to simply do a new one.

This is good to know! Before this thread I thought treasuries and the items in them were permanent, unless the curator removed them, lol!

Any time an item is removed from a shop, for reasons other than a sale (deactivated, expired, deleted), it disappears from any treasuries its been featured in.
