Trying to make my own catalog

Has anyone ever made their own catalog? I want to make one for the jewelry parties I have coming up and to give out at craft fairs I will be doing this year. I am trying to keep the cost low so I want to make and print them out myself. I am having trouble though, and wanted know if anyone knows of any good templates etc that I can use.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

You could try using the "multi item flyer" feature on http://cr8tivity.com/

It's really easy to use!

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

All the women in my family are addicted to this website. The soft cover 5x7 might work? Or you could create one on a site like this take the screen shots then print them out yourself at a FedEx office or something similar around your area.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

HighlandParkHouse, I had never thought to use shutterfly for our catalog!!! Great suggestion!

Also, if you join they send out good coupons quite frequently.

How about photo book? I wanted to make this - Winkflash.com have deals from tome to time on their books - you can add as many pages as you'd like for free...

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

I love the ideas you guys have. For mine I just use a photo book and print off photos then a little description of each for the next picture slot, sometimes I do it on top of the photo. It works well for me because then I can switch out the pictures and reuse it without having to pay for it time and time again.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

I use vista print for a lot of my printed material. There is a brochure option that I've looked at with the idea of doing home parties in mind. I haven't printed one yet thought. Usually you can find a sale on their products, just don't be in a hurry- they charge a fortune for shipping (and usually ship faster than estimated).

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

I made a book with all my jewelry in it. Each page has a color photo, description and price. Did it by hand so each time I create a new piece I can easily add to it without having to print a new book. It's always up to date. I have a few for shows or parties.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

Our program Zetsy can make catalogs and reports of a couple of different types. An example of one is here http://zimpro.co/ZetsyReport.pdf. If anyone has ideas on other types of catalogs drop us a line at our team http://www.etsy.com/teams/8581/zetsy

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

http://etsycatalog.com/ is another place to generate a catalog from your listings here. Looks like they're currently upgrading, but the old version was pretty nice!

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

Thanks for the link Chris!
I made my catalog by manually adding the photos. It was time consuming, as I tried to fit different sized photos in 1 page.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

I am not computer savy and would like to make a cat. of my shop to distribute to several places in an effort to increase traffic on Etsy and to my shop.
I am at a brick wall as to how to make one, other than cut and paste.

I am really open to suggestions.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

If you upload any of your stuff on Wanelo and go to your shop url (mine is http://wanelo.com/store/modernswitch ) it shows up very nicely in rows suitable for printing. The bummer is you can't organize it at all and no words/prices...but it's nice for creating a "Look Book" you can set out at a craft fair.

Re: Trying to make my own catalog

Our free program , Zetsy, is capable of printing out a catalog in a couple of different formats. An example of this is at http://zimpro.co/blog/?p=37. An example of someone else using the program is here : http://greygirldesigns.blogspot.com/2011/08/whats-new-for-grey-girl-designs.html

Do you mean linesheet?

I made mine in Word and saved it as a PDF, it looks wicked.
