Treasury Question

I spent all day yesterday working on compiling a treasury list(on paper). I was wondering if it is ok to send a private conversation to those I am featuring? I don't want to break any Etsy rules, but I also want them to know they have been featured. What are your thoughts?

It's ok as long as you keep it brief and don't spam them by asking them to favorite or check out your shop.

Something along the line of "hi, I featured your item in my _____ treasury."

If you use Shmetsy it does the work for you. It makes creating treasuries very easy and it'll even send convos to all the featured sellers for you.

Do notify people. I like it so I can thank them for there work. I have missed treasuries my activity is very busy. I also like to comment on them.

This is good advice so far. Inform them with a quick convo letting them know they were featured and a link for where they can see it. I always send the convo through the actual item that was featured. Also, ALWAYS favorite the item you featured. It can be offensive and "cold" to feature someone's item and not add it as your favorite. And trust me, people will notice this. Be the first person to "like" your treasury after its published (you'll see the facebook button toward the bottom of the screen on the right hand side. you can tweet it as well. but "1 like" shows better than "0 likes." Have fun curating!

Thank you for your replies. I haven't been in many treasuries and this is only my third time making one. I think they are so much fun to make and I believe this one is going to be the best(so far).
