Have you done a TOTAL SHOP overhaul? How?

Starting the new year I plan to do a total shop overhaul. I am thinking of streamlining my shop to only pillows.
Have you done something of the sort?
Please let me know your results.

The reason I am doing this is I feel my brain is to overloaded and I need to come back to earth and focus on one thing, not 100.

Rhonda,
you can deactivate items easily by checkmarking and the "deactivate" button.
I would leave the inactive items in place (don't delete) to keep your page count at over 100
people can still see them, and they bring shoppers into your shop.
I expect you will reduce your sales but it sounds like you need to slow the pace a bit.
wish I had your problem.. :O)

Thanks Melva,
I actually hope to increase my sales because I feel I will be able to focus more. Right now I am doing a bit of this and a bit of that . I hope to also focus on my photography skills. Wish me luck.

Re: Have you done a TOTAL SHOP overhaul? How?

Rhonda,
I've seen people do this by putting the older items in clearance and stating in the listing that they won't be carrying that item any longer. If you have listings that are custom orders and not pre-made, you can just edit that listing with a new item. Change the title, photos, and description and the listing will reflect your new item. That way you didn't waste money on listings. Just remember, that listing will still end at the original time if not sold.

I revamped my listings while keeping the shop open. I used to have a black background on my tags. I simply put a little disclaimer in my shop title description telling customers I was creating a new shop design. It didn't take long to change to the grey background and then I removed the disclaimer.

Good luck!

I've done several shop makeovers complete with entire days devoted to just retaking photographs, but never a full overhaul! It sounds like quite the challenge--just take it one step at a time and relax:) Things will fall into place!

Hmmm, a total overhaul? Not with items. I *have* done an overhaul of my Etsy shop though. Images, photography, listings, tags/titles, policies, packaging, you name it. I didn't adjust my products like that though. Good luck to you! You can do it, just do one thing at a time.
