To post seperately or as a set??

Does anyone post items separently and then the same items again as sets??

I have earrings that have matching bracelets. Should I post them separetly with a link in the descritpion?

or

Should I post them together as a set?

or

Should I post them as a set AND separently.

Currently, I just post them separently with links. But, I am thinking that I should begin posting them as a set too. I know this would cost more but I think it would give me more chances to appear in search results too.

Any opnions or knowledge??

It will only cost you $0.20 more to list them together, so if you have enough inventory, this might be a good idea.

you could do both if you have multiples. sell the sets for less and see if your sales climb!

separately and a set. just make sure if both sell, you have what you need to send both.

I agree with doing both. It gives your customers more options. If you offer a bit of a discount on the set, it also gives customers who like both more incentive to buy both.

Agreed on separates and a set as different listings, even if only to help identify what offering your type of buyer is most interested in. Don't forget to link to the other listing from within each of the descriptions to help keep your jewelry-lover engaged in your shop and aware of their many options for that design!

Re: To post seperately or as a set??

If you have the inventory to list it both ways, I would do that. Just make sure that you will be able to take care of your customers on the off-chance that both the "set" and "individual" listings sell at once.

Otherwise... I can tell you that I have tried selling as sets several times and they never seem to sell. I have had much better luck linking coordinating items to each other. This may be because of how Etsy's categories work (since there is no "set" category and it has to be listed as one item or the other). But that's been my experience, anyway.

Best of luck!

I agree with Ariella! Perhaps you could knock a couple dollars off if purchased as a set (and even mention that in your individual listings with a link to the set listing) to try and increase the odds of you selling both items.

It's a win-win. You sell both and the buyer gets a better deal.

I would do both, what do you have to lose. For the sake of 20cents, you give buyers extra options; get more items in your shop, better exposure for you. Win win! I also agree that you should make the set slightly cheaper than buying the items separately, to encourage buyers to spend more money in your shop.

Also, link everything together. There's no limit on links in your description - link from the set to each item, and from each item to each other and the set.

Re: To post seperately or as a set??

Thank you! For the tips and opns!

I think I will list BOTH ways.
I have the class to remake if both were to sell at the same time. I plan to add a set section to my shop. I am not sure how it will do. I will most likely knock a few dollars off if the set is purchased together. I am not a set buyer but by BF is and that got me to thinking...

Currently, all items are listed separently with links.
