Tips for Getting Featured on Etsy

Hi everyone!
One question I often hear from sellers on our Etsy Success social media channels and elsewhere is, "How can I get featured?”

Though the selection process differs by channel (whether you're hoping to be featured in an Etsy Finds email, the Seller Handbook, one of Etsy's social media channels, or elsewhere), there are common qualities that Etsy editors and merchandisers look for when choosing products and shops to highlight. There are so many incredible products and shops on Etsy, that we can't showcase them all, but we've put together a few tips will give your shop a better chance of getting featured. Good article, just like all of them!

I believe I work very hard to have all what it takes to have a successful Etsy shop and to be featured, but as some already said, it seems kind of random and also a lucky shot.

Some of the featured shops that I saw, had enticing stories and interesting paths, but their items were not as different or special from other Etsy shops I've seen.
Pretty sure like everyone of us, I would like to be featured :)

But still, I saw so many wonderful creations and amazing items that is now though to get noticed at that level!

I'm happy for what I've accomplished so far and I believe I will accomplish so much more :) after all I've been putting through.

A big cheer to all artists on Etsy, just believe on yourselves and do not give up ever! :)

I got featured 3 times. The very 1st time it was very successful & we sold quite a lot of stock. It was very new to me & I wasn't sure why I started to get such an influx of people & sales, then I received an email from Etsy to say I got featured. The 2nd & 3rd time sadly - Etsy has picked an item to feature that was on sale & so I wasn't restocking it. In return I made 0 sales from that. Thank you Etsy for featuring me :)

A nice way to feature your work outside Etsy is to submit your art to any of the magazines from Stampington & Co. I was lucky to be contacted by one of the editors of Altered Couture Magazine in 2014 and I have been asked ever since. My work was featured in Altered Couture Summer 2014, Belle Armoire Winter 2015, Altered Couture Spring & Summer 2015, Green Craft & Altered Couture Summer 2016. No idea how they always find me! Anyway, it is possible to submit your artwork and you could possibly get selected to be featured in one of their magazines. Although everyone can submit their artwork, you will only get selected if what you do is something "special". Of course everyone's artwork is special, but what I mean with that is you need to submit something unique, something not everyone is doing already, a simple beaded bracelet is not going to get you featured. Be unique and original! Being featured in these magazines has definitely helped my shop a lot!

If you have professional pictures of your artwork, it is possible to only submit those and they will be used in the magazines if the quality is good enough and you will not have to send out your artwork, which is awesome when you live on the other side of the world like m'self!

That's good. But it would be great if etsy makes every month contest you can apply for (as an offer) =) For sure with rules, etc.

Etsy has used one of my pics for "top categories".... does it means my shop has been featured ???
