Tips for Getting Featured on Etsy

Hi everyone!
One question I often hear from sellers on our Etsy Success social media channels and elsewhere is, "How can I get featured?”

Though the selection process differs by channel (whether you're hoping to be featured in an Etsy Finds email, the Seller Handbook, one of Etsy's social media channels, or elsewhere), there are common qualities that Etsy editors and merchandisers look for when choosing products and shops to highlight. There are so many incredible products and shops on Etsy, that we can't showcase them all, but we've put together a few tips will give your shop a better chance of getting featured. Great article! I'm not expecting to get featured, but helpful advice (lots to work on) for me to use any way.

I am wondering if you have a link to a good 'For Dummies' type article on branding. You mention that and others have suggested that to me. I"m not a marketing person so I don't really understand that part of the article.

I'm not prepared for a feature, but I see so many shops that would be just wonderful to feature, I saw a furniture shop that plants 100 trees for every sale, and can back it up. I think it was Masaya or something, I just love it that so many people are being so environmentally conscious in there shops and lives.
Maybe you should do a feature on shops that are sustainable.

We were fortunate to be featured many times from 2011 - 2013. In the etsy finds, etsy fashion and etsy gifts newsletters.
Our listing titles and tags matched the newsletter themes, at the time.

Thank you for the advice I have read and read about this. I finally realized it seems like a random process and kind of lucky process. Sure you have to have certain things like the about me section etc.. but really its about getting lucky enough to get noticed. And being featured is probably really helpful so I simply just figured keep working hard at growing and keeping my customers happy and one day if I am ever featured I will feel extremely lucky :).

I think that some not so well known products like ours, are less likely to be featured, even though they should! :)

My work wasn't featured by Etsy, but I'm very thankful for traffic!

Art museum, publishing houses and workshops bring a lot of customers and help increase prices of my items. Make the best product and people will find you.
