Struggling with trying to stay up with two shops and too many teams

Hello all. Still struggling with trying to make an online shop work. There are just so many venues out there and right now trying to decide between here or Zibbet and now hand made artists. I really think I need to just focus on one shop and maybe the one team I created but it's hard to let go of the other two-even though I sell nothing on them. I just can't give them the work they deserve even though I don't have an outside job. Too much going on in my life right now. Wonder if I should have an on line shop at all. I really enjoyed going to my first local event and it seems I did well there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How many items do you have in your shop?

Re: Struggling with trying to stay up with two shops and too many teams

Hi Lisa, I had 21 listings and just renewed thirteen listings. I don't know what to do. I have a very serious personal matter to deal with right now and my shop has been on vacation since last December off and on because of it. Not sure if I can find the time for this. I'm really drawn to selling in person. I got a taste of it last October and really enjoyed it. Enjoyed it here too but being kicked off the forums has really caused me to loose interest since I can't participate in some features of Etsy.

I had 21 items and just relisted thirteen items. I at least get a few sales as I didn't with my other shop on Zibbet. But I haven't had the time or will power to really go all out over the computer.

But when I sell in person I have oodles of people gathering around to just watch me spin. I feel like a celebrity!

I have a team called the spinners web that keeps growing. But people come for a while and then move on. I feel like a voice crying in the wilderness there. I really haven't the time to really go all out there either.

I get lots of sales in person-well six for half a day. I enjoyed the interest people had in my products. Enjoyed showing them my spinning. I think I may keep my items posted on Etsy as a reference, but start attending more local events. It just takes more time online and takes away from my production line. And those forums-really a time robber. Loosing my forum priviledges was probably a blessing in disguise-even though I enjoyed them.

Don't know what to do about my team.

Re: Struggling with trying to stay up with two shops and too many teams

I feel your pain, I've been down since January and I still get orders. its just to much for me to handle and so I had to move on. the money was great and I miss that. but my time as a mommy and wife and etsy was to much for me. December rush took me out of the game. and I am still recovering from it.

My advice is do what you love and desire, you are your own boss and do what feels right. if etsy is a part time thing then keep your shop on the down low. and if your nitch is Saturday markets type of style then that's great. its what keeps you going to make you feel good.
