Shipping

I am wondering how exactly shipping works? I charge for shipping, of course, but then does that money go into my account as well after I ship the item? On my stats page, under Revenue, it does not include the money the customer paid for shipping. Does this make any sense? Anyone have any answers?

Re: Shipping

Are you talking about Direct Checkout?

I don't use that so I'm not sure. It should go directly into your account at the time of the order.

Your stats page only shows the item value, not the shipping. If you check your sold orders you will see that shipping was charged.

Re: Shipping

Shipping fees aren't revenue so they wouldn't show up there. When someone pays you, whether by Direct Checkout or Paypal, the full amount paid goes into that payment account. You use the shipping fee that was paid to cover the cost of postage and other shipping costs. A lot of sellers print postage through Paypal or Etsy and the postage fee comes out of their account.

Re: Shipping

Re: Shipping

If you take your item to the post office to ship you will pay there. I've only ever bought postage through usps.com . I have a scale to weigh my packages. I did try to mail from the post office for one order, but quickly backed out when I realized it was going to cost more at the post office than to get the postage online. Hope this helps.

Re: Shipping

I use PayPal to pay for and print the (prepaid) label. The transaction is then listed as shipped. You'll say .20 or so when you pay postage on line either through PayPal or USPS.
