Now that it's been around a bit...is there downside...negatives to direct checkout?

We haven't run into any difficulties.

I believe my sales have increased because I started accepting it, and I haven't had any troubles so far.

I've had a couple of customers use it with no problems.

My best sales months were August and September, after I added DC to my shop. All of my Sept. sales were direct checkout, which was an extra bonus because Etsy waived DC fees that month. :)

I should clarify that those sales were in my jewelry shop. This shop has had no sales since I re-opened on Oct. 15. (I'm working on that!)
