Set a Goal for July

Hi there,

Setting a goal (no matter how small) can help you accomplish more. Last month we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14658006) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

When sharing your goal for July, please introduce yourself and share how long you've been selling on Etsy.

I'll start. I have been working at Etsy for 3 years, and I've been on the Seller Education team for the last year. I just moved so my goal for July is to set up a studio space in the new place. What about you?

I didn't know the existence of this team, it's a really nice surprise because I always set a goal for my work aroung eEtsy every month and now I will be able to share and get advice from a lot of other people who do the same

Anyway, I have two goals for July: reaching 100 items in my shop and my first 100 sales.
The second goal is making reaching the first one difficult, but I think it's totally ok not reaching my 100 items goal because it is a good month and I'm selling quite steadly :)

I just set a new goal. Now that I have one year under my belt my goal for the long term, not just July is to get more views and sales than I had the same time one year ago. The dashboard really helps with tracking your progress over time!

Hi,
I'm new to Etsy.I've just opened my Shop in July. I'm still learning and I guess my goal for August would be to create some Treasury lists. As I understand this should be a good way to get me name out there. I'm happy to have joined your group and hope I will be able to both-learn and contribute to it if I can.Any tips as to how I can improve ,are welcome.Thank you and good luck to all of you with your goals :-).

My goal is to make some sells and stop worrying too much about that :) And mostly, create more and more and to continue having fun. And try and forget when someone tell me that I can't do what I want or that it is too difficult. To improve my English would be good too!

It's the home stretch. My goals for this month were:
1. Get my sewing machine fixed. (It's in the shop, so nothing else to do but wait.)
2. Have 60 items in my shop. (I'm at 54. Working on 1, 1 to photograph and list. I think I can still make it.)
3. Start research on a website. (Since my budget won't allow for much help, it's all on me. Making the call to customer service on how to set up a website on my own. Hopefully they can walk me through it.)

My goal for July is to check all my listings for possible improvements and to add 10 new hand painted hair clip designs to my collection. I am aiming for at least 100 design choices by the end of the year.

my goal is to finish editing all my photos of new items and get them listed so I have 200 items in my shop....it's been a pretty good month so far :)

Finally sat down and completed my goal for July which was to design a post card I could mail out to prospective clients/bloggers/magazines/etc. Finally got it done, now I can't wait for it to arrive. YIPPIE!!

It's been an encouraging month. Two sales despite raising my prices, and I'm listing and painting like a madwoman. I hope to grow my shop to 200+ items before the end of the summer... I hope also to invest in a nice printer, to make prints... finally... it's hard to make such a huge commitment to the business with a large purchase, but it's worth it. And I hope it generates a return :) it does seem like the most successful art shops on Etsy offer prints of their originals, right?

I have been on here for two months now so I am fairly new.
My goal would have to be to make my first sale on Etsy..:) I am always working to putting new listings up and getting the word out on social media. I take careful consideration in my pictures I just haven't got a sale yet.But I'm patient..:)

My goal was to get a good handle on shipping since I have been open less than a month. I think I'm finally getting comfortable with the 783924 shipping options! I even tackled an international purchase which admittedly scared the bajesus out of me but was a breeze!

My shop is one month old and I have two very common goals for this month (that is soon ending):

1. improve my business
2. make my FIRST sale

We started our Etsy shop about one month and a week ago, and our goal for July was to set up our branding and as a bonus to make our first sale! (Posted at 6:06 pm Jul 4, 2014)

And just now we reached our bonus goal - we had our first sale! :)

And we are celebrating it with Caribbean-flavored noodles! :P

I've found that promoting other shops greatly increases the promotions that my own shop receives, and has made this selling year my biggest ever.

I started pretty well this month!!! I already have two sales (last month i had two sales in total, so it is a very big thing for me!). So my goals for this month will be:
Have 4 sales this month
Reach the 40 listings (i have 31)
Work on my page in Pinterest to have more followers

Thats it:)
