Set a Goal for July

Hi there,

Setting a goal (no matter how small) can help you accomplish more. Last month we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14658006) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

When sharing your goal for July, please introduce yourself and share how long you've been selling on Etsy.

I'll start. I have been working at Etsy for 3 years, and I've been on the Seller Education team for the last year. I just moved so my goal for July is to set up a studio space in the new place. What about you?

A newbie in Etsy world here. Just started a few days ago and have posted 26 items so far. I hope to sell and share some of the quality tools and things i love. Still finding my way around, thank you for accepting me in the team.

Hey there! I just opened my shop a few days ago! My July goal is to list at least 5 more items and to hopefully make my first sale! :) I am so excited. I am open to suggestions for my shop! So don't be shy. Hope to meet some of you on here!

My goal is to get 100 items in my shop. No small feat as I have shows and another store elsewhere too that I have to try and keep stocked, I really did not want to do duplicates, too hard to create enough of a difference in listings. As the season gets closer sales will pick up so I had better get to knitting. And I just had my first sale.

I have a new goal for July!

At the moment, I'm awaiting payment for a good-sized wholesale order. The customer found me here on Etsy and ordered a few things a couple weeks ago, so this is a re-order already!

My new goal is to make a dent in creating the new order. Can't be more specific than that at this time, but she wants the order by Labor Day, which should be do-able! I'll start on the order as soon as she pays for it (and it was her idea to pay for it ... yay!).

My shop opened a whole 11 days ago so not a startling goal! However by the end of this month I would have like to have finalised my international postage and therefore created this information detailed in my policies page, and lastly updated by first three listed items to show not just available in Australia.

My shop opened about 2 1/2 months ago and I am extremely happy with the results so far. But my goal is that by the end of August is to at least double my 11 sales. I'm trying to work hard on social media along with working with Etsy teams to increase views and favorites.

I'm glad I found this group as I've been trying to establish goals but don't quite know what benchmark to begin. My goal is to set a goal! but I think I need some information before I can do so :-)
My shop is based solely on making custom leather items designed with my clients. So I am selling the opportunity to design your perfect leather accessory.
My stats show that my shop and listings receive many views but only about 1.5% end as sales...My question/request from the group is to share how you have addressed this in your shops. Does anyone know what the average views to sales ratio is in the Etsy world?
So, my goal this week is to determine the reason for the disparity and come up with a plan to improve...your feedback is truly appreciated. I wish you all success in reaching and surpassing your goals.

Hi lafies! I'm very gkad to be part of this team. My goal of this year is to increase sales and views on my Etsy shop. My very first month I struggled because I didn't know a few steps, but slowly I'm trying to get in the right path. Also my other goal is to get better shoot with lrofesional looking (I live inFlorida and the weather here is been treated me not fairly) and do some modeling of my items (probably at the end of this year to the next one).

July is a big month ( exactly been in business for a year now) but only just joined Etsy Jul 16th. Have been selling mostly via my site and ebay / amazon. Now i've dipped my toes on joining pinterest, shopify, etsy and instagram. I could use some tips from fellow team members. I'm excited to receive my first order and want to know if I'm doing things right.
Goal is to meet good people of Etsy, and start selling as much as having fun doing it.

My goal for July is to have reach a 120 items for sell by the end of the month. I started with 50 now I'm at 84. I'll be gradually adding more day by day :D.

Well, last year we only had $80 in sales in July. We wanted to surpass that, and we have! We have made 4 times the sales (in dollars), and the month has 11 days to go! Best wishes to everyone.

My goal for July was to reach 200 listings. I'm still working away at this goal and hope to achieve it by the time the month ends. I have been lucky to list 2 items and see them sell within minutes of listing so that did give me some encouragement. It's hard to work full-time and maintain my Etsy Shop sometimes but each time I focus and spend more time on it I do see some results which keeps me going.

My shop has been open for 4 yrs. but only taken off in the last year. My goal is to reach 500 sales by the end of July. This is being really optimistic since July is a slow month.

I opened a shop here on Etsy about a month ago. So far I made two sales and I am so happy about it. I am trying to learn every thing and make some great connections and friendships in the Etsy community. Always looking for mentors etc... My goal for this month is to add more products and improve on my photos. If anyone who reads this has any tips that would help me with photo taking please message me and let me know. ( I am not very happy with my photos)....

I think I can safely say I have already reached about 90% of my goals for July. I just need to get two more sales this month to make it 100%

It is amazing to see how you can reach your goals when they are SMART (S = specific, M = measurable, A = assignable, R = realistic, T = time - related) I like to make sure mine are realistic, but still a reach, still something I have to work at!

Hi! I'm Doris aka Daisy Jane. My shop will be celebrating its 1st Year Anniversary on July 25th! I currently have a full time job outside of Etsy but, like many others here, would like to make Etsy my full time career!

I know it's late for a July goal but here's one anyway. I want to list a brand new item...not just a new color. I also want to add two additional items.

I feel pretty strongly that I've met my goal. I've been experimenting with a new style of painting that feels more natural during the process.

My goal was to create a trend setting home decor product. I don't have any statistical data but I do have a great feeling I'm on the right track and some pretty great looking new modern paintings. That counts for a goal well met in my book!
