Set a Goal for July

Hi there,

Setting a goal (no matter how small) can help you accomplish more. Last month we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14658006) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

When sharing your goal for July, please introduce yourself and share how long you've been selling on Etsy.

I'll start. I have been working at Etsy for 3 years, and I've been on the Seller Education team for the last year. I just moved so my goal for July is to set up a studio space in the new place. What about you?

I officially opened my shop Modestly Macabre on midnight, July 1st. While I've been off and on Etsy since 2005, this is my first solo shop.

My goal: to sell just 2 items. Doesn't matter what they are. Just putting positivity out there and hoping it comes back!

I've only been on Esty for a month, so my goals will be to list 2 more items and have 200 views. I'm at 110 now so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I will also try to work on my blog more.

We have had our shop open for a while and have always looked at it like a business, not just a hobby but we are getting even more serious about this!

Our goals are:

1. To get at least 2 sales this month
2. To finish re-vamping our brand and our shop.

Hi All!

I have been selling on Etsy for almost 3 years. This year I took a leap of faith (and determination!) and went "freelance" with my day job as an architect to focus more time on my business. Things have been picking up and wholesale is becoming a larger portion of my business income. So! For July, my goals are:

1. secure 15 new wholesale accounts.
2. pitch my wares to 50 media outlets (had my very first magazine feature this month, which has lit a fire under me!)
3. organize my biz finances (I hired an accountant this week!)
4. simplify my Etsy shop and website and wholesale line sheet to be more user-friendly and easy to navigate (easier to buy from me! ;) )

Hi there! I just opened my shop on May 30th, and reached my first goal of making a sale to a stranger! My July goals are as follows:

• List ten more items
• Make 2 sales (double my sales from last month)
• Have some postcards and greeting cards printed

I've had my etsy shop since 2010, It was really slow at first, And things are slow in the summer. Obvisiously who thinks about crochet in July?
but my goals for July are to have 5 sales and reach the 300 item mark. I've added about 18 items in the last 2 days. I think I have currently caught up now on listing my items I have made. So back to crocheting I go.

My husband and I have been building and selling birdhouses on Etsy since 2008.
My goal for July is to get at least 30 birdhouses finished up and listed on Etsy.

I like the idea of having a plan every month, it might keep me focused.

my goal is to have my first sale!! Ive only been open for a month and a half, have had alot of views for june, yay, now just need to start getting sales. I also plan to really stock inventory for july as well. Can't wait!

Hi! This is my first of three shops on etsy and I have been selling for about 4.5 years. My goals for July are:

1 - Have 120 listings. I've had as high as 109 but am at 105 right now.

2 - Make my 200th sale. I took it reeeeally easy on etsy for a couple of years, but since getting serious again sales are picking up and I'd love to hit this goal! :)

This july, I want to make my 40th sale. I'm at 37 right now. :-)

This is my newest shop on etsy. I've been open almost 2 weeks (but been selling on etsy for 4.5 years)! My goals this month are:

1 - Get up to 20 listings. I'm only at 3 right now.
2 - Make 10 sales! I made one in June :)

1. Finish up all the orders we got from a recent craft sale
2. Get 25 sales (we're at 23)
3. List one more item to get to 40. This has been a struggle (getting new items up) because of the recent sales, but that is my goal, to finish those up, and move on to new products.

I'm Jeanne from Yard Sale Dream, I joined Etsy in March of this year and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience! My goal for July 2014 is to have $750 in sales for the month, not counting shipping fees!

Hi! My name is Sunny and I own Chasing Sunlight Bags. My goals for July are to get my titles and descriptions up to snuff (in terms of SEO), and find a model for my bags! That last one has been tougher than I expected. I've had my site up for about 2 months now.

well technically it would be 45th but in a way 1st as I re-opened my shop almost after 2 years.

I listed my items in a friend's shop for two months and had 3 sales last month in her shop. I just opened my own shop on June 25, 2014. I currently have 17 items listed. No sales.

My goals for July are:
Expand my listings to 35 items,
Make my first sale (excluding any from family or friends)
Make at least one prototype for a new type of item for the shop.

Love reading the goals here - you inspire others to greatness! :) I am primarily a vintage seller with some upcycled and 'go with' creations. Like many of you, this is a part-time venture for me in addition to a full time job.

My goals for July are:
1) Continue stocking shop to reach at least 160 listings
2) Post at least twice on social media per week (did the 'boost your shop' seminar and daily posts were a little too much for me to manage :)
