Set a Goal for August

Hi there,

August is upon us. What will your goal be in this month often associated with vacations? Is your goal this month to push on ahead, starting your preparations for the holidays? Or perhaps your goal is to relax, take a break, and gain some energy with which you can approach the upcoming busy season.

No matter what your goal, setting a specific one and sharing it with others can help you accomplish more. For the last two months we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14828939/page/1) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about. For some easy inspiration, take a peek towards the end of the thread.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

Goals for August

1. Reach 600 sales
2. Create 3 Treasuries
3. Gain 25 shop admires
4. 15% increase in sales over last month
5. Plan for Christmas rush

Hi. I'm Bethany and I've been selling on etsy for about 4 and a half years.

My August goals for this, my oldest shop, are:

1. Create and list at least 10 fabric necklaces
2. Make it to 130 listings
3. Make 15 sales, which will take my to 200 sales!
4. To try and blog more than twice a year :)

My goals for this, my newest shop, are:

1. To make and list 15 new items
2. To have 11 sales, taking me to 15 total.
3. To work on some new designs and get a bit more variety in my shop.

I'm Bethany and I've been selling on etsy for about 4 and a half years. This is my third, and newest, shop and it has been open for about 7 weeks.

Goals for august is to hopefully set up etsy wholesale and gain our first wholesale account.
List our products back onto etsy having concentrated mainly on our website this year. We would like to pick up US sales again.
Schedule our blogposts and keep it continuous and exciting.

Any more goals and my hands would be more than full!

I am basically a newbie at Etsy and going on my third month as a shop owner. By day I am a marketer for a private company and I have been able to apply many of my marketing skills to help improve my shop. Especially my analytics (shop conversion rates, web traffic, ad performance). As weeks go by I am seeing great improvements in sales and other key metrics. My main goals for

August would be:

1. Expand my product line.
2. Improve/expand my product photos.
3. Improve my traffic drivers (social, paid).
4. Experiment with promotions and coupon offers.
5. Prepare for the upcoming holiday seasons.

Ive been selling on Etsy since May of this year. I was just thinking how I should set at least one goal a month so I can get my business up to its full potential.

1. Add the new items up in my shop
2. Start making stock for an up coming pop up shop and etsy holiday season
3. Marketing better!

I started on Etsy in 2008. My goals are to
1.refine my product time and costs on barnacle bowls and spoons as well as meet a certain min number available for each type of item. For example I want to have four of each bowl in five different colors with matching ceramic and driftwood spoons.
2. Keep a good selection of different price points
3. Invest in quality packaging for this line with matching branding from my banner. Thus far I have had to use pkg of whatever I could afford at the time. Now I can buy something professional looking.

I am really enjoying my 1st shop 'vacation' in 2 1/2 years ! My shop has been soooo busy I really need it!
So the plan is to pack and do up the house before relocating to larger home and workshop in beautiful Devon!

Also glazing all my Christmas items that I made in January so they are ready for the Holiday Season when I reopen my shop !

Hello Fellow Creative Members. I joined Etsy a little over a year ago. I listed a dozen or so items and just let them sit there. Well, there they sat (in the dark) for almost a year. I spoke with my sister who already had an established Etsy shop and she pointed out that "You can't just set up shop and walk away, you have to turn the LIGHT on". She meant pinning with Pinterest. This made an immediate difference. It creates a constant circulation of what's out there and makes it highly visible to the folks who are LOOKING for it. What a concept!
My immediate goal for August is to put up 50 new listings! I have had a brick and mortar store for almost 19 years so inventory is no problem. My question is this: would you folks please share your methods of time/ effort saving to make the process more efficient please? Thanks. Prosperity to all!

:) My goal for August is to get 80 sales. Its day 6 and i have around 20 sales, so...lets keep this up : )

One new cup a week is another store goal.

I have lots of "new" items to list from treasure hunting this summer, so my goal is to have them all in my shop by the end of the month. A seemingly simple goal but throw in getting 3 kids outfitted for college and it becomes a challenging one! :0

My August goal is to start preparing for the holiday season. Every year I procrastinate and ultimately I am in a frenzy to keep up with orders. I add handmade tags to my packages and plan to start making the holiday tags early.
Going to do my best to be very organized and systematic. I want to enjoy the season!

My goal is to make at least 30 treasuries this month. so far have mad only 2.

I've been on Etsy since September 2014 and has about 30 sales so far. This is far from being perfect and I do hope to see better sales! My August goals are as follows:

1. Make at least 8 sales
2. List 5 new items (I'm close to 70 now)
3. Work on SEO on my blog
4. Engage with people in my social media sites at least 3 times weekly
5. Take good photos of my products weekly

I am taking a break from jewelry making and try and work on my sewing, I finally think I have everything I need to get started. I wanna get better at it so I can make gifts for the holidays. Its been a very over whelming thing to do, I had to get all the supplies( fabric, new shears etc) I just got my cutting board/mat in the mail today, it has made cutting fabric much smoother. however I still find the cutting of the fabric way more over stressful than actually sewing, and all the tutorials I have found to make stuff to practice on, make everything way easier than it seems. BUT I taught my self how to make jewelry so I will figure this all out too.
